I regularly visit this post office for shipping my products out. I print my labels out at home as it saves time and costs less. I'm always being told off for doing this as the post office loses out on the sale of the postage. I always get dirty looks and a bad service every time. One time I forgot to bring my proof of postage document, and even though all the man behind the desk had to do was press a key, I was told that I was wasting their time and I should leave. The only reason why I still use this post office is because it is close to my home. This level of disappointing service is seen throughout all of the staff except for one young woman who I first saw in August 2019, was great and took my item with a smile.

No wonder high streets are dying, with local businesses not providing service and being so unfriendly. The post office refused to exchange a small amount of Sterling for Euros without identification (even though I had a bank card with my name on it). I have never had to show identification at the post office previously for this service. Will use debit/credit cards abroad, forget about supporting local businesses.

Really rude service

Visited today to drop off a parcel with a self printed returns label which I had carefully attached making sure everything was clear and the bar codes weren't covered by tape. Unfortunately the lady was unable to scan the bar code, despite trying 2 different terminals. Then she couldn't manually type in the code as she couldn't find the # on her keyboard and told me to go home, reprint the label or maybe her colleague might be able to help "3rd time lucky"! Eventually her colleague typed in the code, took the parcel & gave me a receipt in about 30 seconds no luck needed! This is the MAIN Post Office in Coulsdon High Street! I don't think I'll bother in future ð???ð???

Paul Rogers - with regards to the letter you used the signed for service and until it has been signed for it always shows the letter is in our post office. This is a false impression and is a systems issue. The most likely location for your letter is in the local collection centre of Royal Mail and the recipient needs to go and collect. Sorry if asking you to do the posting with us upsets you but we have bills and costs to pay, all of which are increasing, yet what we receive from Royall Mail is decreasing as they cut payments. Ultimately the cost to you is identical and you still need to drop your post off. However the difference to us is getting paid a little or earning nothing, I hope you appreciate the motivation behind the discussion with you.

A really friendly local post office. The WHSmith co branding thing doesn't really mean much though because they just seem to seek cards and wrapping stuff. They could probably branch out a bit more to incorporate some more products.

This used to be a good post office. I was in here today to buy some cards and heard the old lady at the counter being rude to a customer. I went somewhere else to buy my cards.

I sent several items here a couple of days ago and the experience was not good which is a shame as I used to highly rate this post office.
The staff member who "served" me was not very polite, you'd think I had been an inconvenience to her by the way she acted.
I've always try to support the post office but my experience hasn't given me a reason to come back any time soon.
Hopefully this member of staff was just having an off day.

Edit 09/09/18: She wasn't having a bad day....

Staff is really friendly, never had an issue with them.
Really nice, warm and customer-oriented place.
EDIT 30.08.2018:
DON'T drop your parcels there.
One of the "nice" ladies imposed on me to send my parcels with them otherwise they lose money while Royal Mail offers Click&Drop online. I get that every customer-oriented business needs to fulfil targets for a day but myself as a customer doesn't have to know that. And as far as I know it wasn't the first time it happened, someone I know had the same issue in the past. As you can see I was talking about them highly but I guess I have to change a place to drop my parcels off.
Avoid this Post Office.

Took in parcel all labelled up and paid for but they refused to stamp confirmation of posting, so had to drive to another post office.
Absolutely disgusting and rude staff.

This is one of those places, as you can see from the reviews, which you either love or hate. I have been using this PO for the past two years regularly and I find the Customer service great. It's genuine and people-centric. Sure, not always everything goes extremely smooth but that's ok because other times you get great advice you didn't even know to ask for. I happy to use this location regularly and love the character the people there have.
