I was looking for travel tooth brush and paste and travel spray deodorant for Men there was none. I also needed boot socks of which there was plenty.On asking staff for help...well... let's say pulling teeth.

I?m hoping this is the right poundstretchers I?m reviewing. The one next door to B and Q in Cricklewood.The young Asian lady who served me today had a very bad, dismissive, aloof attitude. I am a customer of decades to this store.This lady was displaying what is described as ?covert racism? from what I could see and feel.After waiting in a queue of multi ethnicity people. A black man and woman were served in front of me to whom the young Asian till staff member gave no eye contact to, and was very abrupt with.I am a woman of colour mixed race black/white.The staff member had the same tone and manner with me - for no apparent reason.Slamming scanned items on the counter and conversing in a very cold abrupt manner.Her demeanour and mannerisms were totally different with all the previous customers she served in front of me. They were of appearance that was Asian, Middle East and white looking.I was going to complain but thought there?s no point as how do I explain ?covert racism??.Can I prove it - NO.Did I feel it - Yes!The management need to speak with this staff member.My time of visiting was around 12.45 today.If they watch the counter CCTV they may well be able to pick up on her different treatment of different skin coloured customers.

Poundstrecher is a long long LONG way away from what it used to be. This shop is an example of it. Bad attitude from older staff and the prices are deceptively cheaper, you must look at the quantity and quality of the actual product as the shelves often have the wrong labels. You can still buy the same products from anywhere else.Sad that this chain is a shadow of its former self. It hasn't been managed very well for decades now and I expect the brand to be flogged to a private equity firm by 2025.

The manager an old grandad looking miserable angry man busy shouting in his native language to his employees in front of cuatomers. Stomping around like he wants to fight everyone. Very unhelpful. All the things that have a "special price/offer" OUT OF DATE!!!!! Iwill be reporting this shop ?

I used to live nearby and also used to get cheap gifts for friends. They used to sell light up ducks which I gave to a friend. They also sold yarn here which was convenient for me as a crocheter

I went to go check out this store as i?ve heard about how amazing the pricing was only to be disappointed. The first thing i would like to complain about is the two men who work in the store standing outside smoking. Now i have no issue with people smoking but when they are deliberately blowing smoke into mine and other peoples faces that?s where the issue begins. Not only did i complain and ask them to stop, they go ahead and do it again laughing. Moving on from that, i saw a bargain on some items only to be told that the price tags are false. Surely this is illegal ? I think some of the younger employees are being mistreated as i saw a young girl be told to clear up a mess one of the older employees made. I think all management need to be retrained after seeing what i saw here and for all employees to be treated the same.
