I am giving 1 star because the optician at Croydon branch Tara was absolutely lovely otherwise I would have given no stars! Dealing with the branch became so much hard work. I had moved from another provider hoping to get better service with my lenses. The lovely Tara put me on lenses where I did not need to use readers with my lenses which I had been doing for years. After several trial fittings to get the lenses fitted right the lenses started to change odd colours, which as a lifetime lens user was a first for me. The lenses were sent back to the manufacturer for investigation and I never heard back from the Croydon branch. I raised a complaint through head office twice and this was promptly ignored other than a call made to me to say the matter would be looked into but nothing was resolved or followed up with me. So I am not doing that again, cause that is a waste of my time!Considering their sky high prices they charge you would be thinking the extra money being paid would be for exceptional customer service, but no apparently that is given for free as a bonus(no doubt). In the end I tried calling the store for several days but had to wait for ages waiting for someone to pick up for the phone. I eventually gave up and returned to my old contact lens provider. It made me realize in a country where customer service is almost a dirty word, I am grateful that my previous (now current) provider actually has the good sense to welcome back their old customers, because after all it is just good business sense. Compared to Vision Express my old/current provider is actually not as bad as Vision Express. So keep up the bad work! I know one thing for certain: I will NEVER use that company again as I wasted my time, was provided weird lenses that might or might not have done something to my eyes and in the end I just returned to my old provider. Not one phone call was made to follow up with me and let me know what the manufacturer said about the odd colours on the lenses or what could be offered as an alternative. A missed opportunity to have a long term customer on their books.

Very professional and fast staff, especially Dave who was extremely helpful and patient with me as I picked my new glasses. He made the process ten times easier as he was able to break down my options and give me all the pros and cons. Give that man a raise!

Dave and Jag have been absolutely amazing today. I visited the store following my son's mis-prescription from Specsaver. I needed my son to be re-tested and they did not hesitate to do whatever possible to put my mind at ease. Highly recommend Vision Express Croydon over any other optician in the area!

Congrat's for superb customer service. Today I walked into the store and was greeted very kindly at the reception. The lady at the reception, spoke to me very nicely and helped in fixing my issue. In small time I was there, I could see that rest of their staff was also very kind and helpful. You got a happy customer. Five stars to Roshini for outstanding job.

Ordered some frames via the phone.After an extended period of no updates. Despite several attempts to follow up through email and phone calls, assurances of a status update were repeatedly promised but not fulfilled. After a month of pursuit, conflicting explanations emerged regarding the frames' status: initially, an assurance of their imminent arrival, then a claim they had been collected, followed by the admission that the frames had not been ordered due to an oversight by a junior staff member. Subsequently, I was advised to expect a delayed delivery post-Christmas or opt for a refund, only to be later informed that the frames were indeed available for pickup.In an effort to obtain written confirmation for my visit to the store, I requested an email outlining the frames' readiness, which was not received. The cumulative frustration with this experience has led me to consider seeking seeking a refund and discontinuing with any future purchases.

the branch was extremely busy on the day I visited but the customer service is simply amazing, Tara is super friendly and helped me through the whole contact lenses check up process, just excellent!

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!! 1. Sales staff was not sure what she was doing, needed constant help from the manager., spend 2hours in store. Collection: They told me they forgotten to put the insurance on (£345 with discount, a pair of specialist glasses for my 11 yr daughter) and I have to pay for it than and there. I had to argue in front of my daughter with them to my understanding I paid for it . The manager was adamant that if I don?t pay for it the glasses won?t have insurance and after 30 minutes they actually figured out that the insurance was paid, but doesn?t appeared on the receipt . They apologised, but a sorry is not good enough!! They ruined our experience which should have been a pleasant and memorable experience for me and for my daughter!! Also I requested the blue protective cover and they didn?t put it on neither!!!!! Even 1x is too much for this service and as I said the glasses were very expensive!!!!

Vision Express in Croydon is absolutely amazing, they will go above and beyond to help customers. My son has ADHD/ASD can be very difficult at times, especially when he was younger. My boy has never been judged, told off or treated badly, not even so much as a stern look. The staff have commented on how well my boy behaves now. Thank you vision Express.When I visited yesterday, Chloe helped me, Chloe is amazing, thank you.

I had a potential medical concern with my eye and phoned the branch to request an appointment with an optometrist. I was offered a same day appointment and upon arrival was given a thorough eye examination and vision test. The optometrist talked me through the test results, explained that the issue was not serious or linked to any underlying problem, and reassured me that it would clear itself. This service was actually given free of charge (although I am a regular customer on a direct debit contact lens care plan). Another member of their team even fixed my glasses which had been damaged the previous day. Overall a fantastic, friendly and very professional service!

They don?t value your time and are unable to manage theirs.Constantly rescheduling for me to eventually arrive and not being able to proceed because they haven?t actually ordered the lenses in.
