The staff at the cosmetic counters are quite rude and unfriendly ie clarins and I will now refuse to buy from them anymore. Yet the the staff working for Pearson are the complete opposite. They are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The store is tidy, clean and have products ranging from shoes, clothes, bags, electrical, bedding and cosmetics etc. I do find it difficult to find clothes in smaller sizes though. There are also lots of designer brands both for young and old and changing rooms on each floor and also one 1 cafes and 1 restaurant, i would recommend the cafe one for a more relax feel. I would recommend this store.

Haven?t visited Pearson for some time. On visiting with my two kids at the weekend, the store looks bright and full. Felt modernised and updated. Our visit was slightly spoiled by an over eager, and what appeared to be, a covert security staff member, who felt the need to stand by us pretending to look at stock. Quite silly really. He succeeded in spoiling the visit resulting in us leaving.Rest assured ?officer?, a 22-year newspaper veteran and a university law student pose no threat so please stand-down. However well done for being attentive. No doubt we?ll visit again remembering to not look too casual next time.

Good variance of brands and a nice cafe restaurant to eat. A little pricey for the area though.

Always enjoy visiting here. Great selection, particularly of home wares. There are fewer and fewer of this type of store around... Which is a great shame

Good old fashioned department store full of nice quality items. An asset to the town centre

From the outside I formed the impression that it was an expensive shop but when I went inside I found it was actually really quire good value. Several floors and a huge section devoted to toys and games which helped immeasurably with Christmas shopping. Also, I was served by a woman with such a huge cleavage that it made me want to buy more and more things!!!!

Absolutely disgusted. The ladies toilet was out of service . A very abrupt and quite rude salesman on the furniture department said "use the gents". This despite the fact that the gents toilet had 2 urinals in full view along with any occupants, of anyone wanting to use the WCs . This is totally unacceptable, embarrassing and not in the best interest of the customer mail or female. What should have been put in place was the closing of the urinals and the Gent's WCs being available on a unisex basis. Or to open the staff ladies toilet just around the corner. Pearsons , you need to sort this out .

Rating could have been 5 stars but they were badly let down by the food in the resterant. The the veg pie was inedible just mashed potato and one piece of onion so salty and terable tsting. Peas and sprouts not cooked and barely worm. Shepherds pie ok really the food was like it had been (cooked) hours earlier and left to get cold. A great shop but but let down by there not so hot food.

Food is ok but by the time you have queued up to pay for it, it is cold. There must be a better system for when it is busy. I had a brie and cranberry panini and a coffee which was nice. Im diabetic and would have liked a choice of low sugar but not stevia or other artificial sweetener drinks cold drink, and may a bitesize cake like a canoli
