I really like the new refurbished version of the gym. Looks very premium and clean. The only thing is that studio space for classes became very dark and for some reason quite hot. I don't feel like the aircon is powerful enough, even when it's working. Also there are no mirrors on the side walls, I hope that's only the case of finishing the work on the new improved gym standards.

I visited, correction, wanted to visit the gym to find out about memberships and to see the gym itself and the facilities. In fact, it's impossible even to enter, to speak to a human being, let alone see the place. It reminds me of a reverse of a prison. You are simply not welcome unless you are willing to part with your money online without seeing what you are signing up for. It's difficult to understand the thinking of the marketing department of PureGym in creating such a disaster zone of an entrance to the gym in East End Road, Finchley. (See the photo.) I'll need to check out at least one other gym in the chain, but there is no way I'm joining such a hell hole.

I visited the gym today and encountered an infuriating situation that left me fuming. Despite the crowded atmosphere, a personal trainer shamelessly occupied a bench and a smith machine for a whopping half an hour, all while nobody else was actually using them. To make matters worse, he went to great lengths to safeguard the equipment, placing his diary and personal phone on the floor as if marking his territory. This behaviour is absolutely disgraceful, especially considering the gym's explicit policy of encouraging equipment sharing. Even more astonishing, when approached by several individuals who politely requested to use the machines since they were unoccupied, his response was filled with sheer arrogance and selfishness. It's truly exasperating to witness such actions, particularly because we're all paying to use the facilities, and it's only fair that everyone has equal access to the equipment. This is not an isolated incident, as I have observed other PT's engaging in similar behaviour. It's disheartening to see the blatant disregard for basic gym etiquette, all for the sake of reserving equipment for a trainee who isn't even present.I understand that personal trainers earn their living by training others, but it's important to remember that we are all paying to use the facilities. It's only fair that everyone has equal access to the equipment. While I appreciate the role of personal trainers in the gym, it becomes a problem when they monopolise machines and benches for extended periods, especially when there are no clients actively utilising them. The gym's policy of encouraging equipment sharing is in place precisely to ensure fairness and efficiency for all members. We should strive for a balance where personal trainers can fulfill their professional duties while still respecting the needs and rights of other gym-goers. It's disheartening to witness instances where this balance is disregarded, leading to frustration and a sense of unfairness among paying members.

Arrived just after 7am and was pleased to see that the gym was occupied by a manageable number of people. The equipment is always clean, tidy, and well maintained, which makes for a pleasant workout.Great place to go and exercise or weight train whatever is ones preference.

Generally a decent gym with classes. Shame on a few selfish individuals who ruin it.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this gym. During my workout, I witnessed a group of individuals showing a complete lack of respect for a female gym member. They were chanting, making animal noises, and even suggesting that she should train in the showers. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and disrespectful, and it made the entire gym environment uncomfortable and unpleasant to be around. What's worse is that these individuals even started cheering when the lady left the machine room, which only added to the unpleasant atmosphere. It's disappointing that a few individuals can ruin the experience for everyone else and create a hostile environment.I had always thought of this gym as a decent place to work out, but this incident has left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I hope that the gym management takes incidents like this seriously and takes steps to ensure that all members are treated with respect and dignity. Until then, I don't feel comfortable using the weight room and I cannot recommend this gym to others.

1. There is parking. Some spaces not available at a certain time but Saturday morning was empty.2. Clean and spacious gym. Lots of equipment to use. Only thing, free weights section could be more spacious but it's ok when empty. Only 1 EZ bar I could find.3. Couldn't find the toilets but there was a shower room.4. Lots of water and energy drinks available.5. All the lockers were locked when there was hardly anyone in the gym lol.

Not the worst but also not the best gym I?ve ever been to. I would like to start with the loud for no reason announcements they make every almost an hour. No one even understands what the announcement is saying and it is very very loud. Another thing , it?s how dirty it is. Equipment is rarely clean , and I?ve seen people drinking from the tap with their mouth?? I have been to dirtier gyms of course but not with this price. You expect at least for it to be clean. Furthermore, at the tone zone the music is so quiet that you can literally hear every single breath people take, which can be uncomfortable and awkward when you?re working out. With that being said , i genuinely don?t understand why the price of it is so high ? £30 is not that expensive, but that?s when the basic services are provided. On the positive side , there is a lot of space and equipment, some of the staff are friendly and helpful and there is parking for your car if you are driving.Unfortunately there aren?t any other gyms around my house and this is the closest one , so hopefully the management will take the feedback into consideration:)

Was very overwhelming on my first day but the induction class was helpful. Personally prefer quiet gyms; and the "quiet" times are still very busy here but the machines are available with a short wait. Great gym!

What a great concept. I have been a member on and off since they launched in London. If your focus is weights and machines, this is my preferred option. 24 hour. Low cost. Well stocked. Don't expect a sauna or pool.

PLEASE improve the smell in here - the smell of sweat is just so annoying :( Use more ventilation, windows, or maybe even just air purifiers or scent fresheners! Once it?s fixed I?ll rate 5 stars for sure cos that?s the only thing I hate here so far
