Staff have clearly been doing their best at busy time of year and after postal strikes etc. I witnessed a customer being very rude and disrespectful which was sad to see as all staff I experienced have been polite and helpful.

Just called to ask for a stock check on a product. I was told ?no? and the staff member hung up on me. So rude.

Extremely slow and a depressing environment. Expect to queue for 20 mins at least

Due to Covid, there is a queue system. So often you see a queue in front of the shop. However, the queue is mostly for upstairs post office.I suggest, let people in for downstairs with like 6 people limit, then let upstairs people in for again like 6-10 people because most of time nobody is in the downstairs, why do you need to queue if you just go to downstairs shop to buy magazines etc.So post office, today is Saturday and there was only 1 person working inside the counter. So I waited like 30 mins with a woman just cut in front of me at the entrance queue pretending not to notice me there ( she did not even check so I am sure she knew I was there).Post office guy was very efficient and he was doing his best. However just queue was too long. He was saying something like his employer does not care to bring people in for Saturdays because it will cost money to bring people in? Not sure how the post office profit is made, but for the service point of view, it is not great and make me feel like using alternative services like collect plus/DHL/Hermes. So better think again to have that long queue on busy days.

I went to the post office in Forest Hill today Saturday 5June after looking on line it stated not busy and that it closes at 5.30pm but it was already closed at 2.30. This is not acceptable as It clearly states open on Saturday until 5.30 pm. WH Smith was open on the ground floor.

I have to say that when I first moved here around two and a half years ago I didn't find this store very friendly or helpful however over the last year I have only ever found every one to be much more upbeat, helpful and in particular yesterday when I went in to shop and use the post office. Every one was so helpful and engaging. So thank you to all the staff there for my lovely shopping experience.

I had malfunctioning WHSmith product that I showed to the manager and he could only refund me other than offering at discount or another brand or doing anything extra at all. I messed up with my book because of this HORRENDOUS malfunctioning WHSmith highlighters and lost time coming to the store twice. We the customer are the only ones taken the piss or paying the price for a bad product. 15 Years of using WHSmith constantly with loads of WHSmith products at home for having a terrible customer service ruining everything. -10 for customer service today.

I just want to say a big thank you to Ian! I called up desperate for a book and he went above and beyond to help me. Good customer service is still alive ð???

I avoid going there unless I have too, staff miserable and unhelpful. Comment on one visit "I am glad you have to bring your own bag, I don't have to pack your stuff". Last time I was there, while paying, 2 off the staff were discussing something on one of their mobile phones, said phone between myself and the server! Perhaps it is hard working there, as it is poorly lit.

It has a very small range of things in general. The only big selection they have is celebration cards and pens. I comw here a lot and know for a fact that a lot of the workers are antipatic and are mostly unkind to school kids.

Tis a strange place. Described by my wife as "like something out of MIB - it's like the staff are trying there hardest to pretend to be human" . Book shops = good , stationary shops = like those, post offices = very useful, location very good.... How have they got it so wrong? Someone "up top" needs to go check out a Waterstones and a paperchase. Chin up Smith-ers I have faith in you... Go on make it a joy to shop here.

Bit messy but a good collection of books. Also dark and not well lit. However it does have what I needed.

I can honestly say I have never met friendlier staff, I use the store regularly and have nothing but great experiences, there is a lovely lady named Kellee who works on the shop floor, she is always very accommodating and has always been able to help.
