The staff and manager are hopeless and kept me waiting for hours and in the end didnt know how to put cheques into the accounts and wouldnt listen to me either. So I went to Moorgate who did listen to me and did it in minutes. Keep away from this branch and go to Moorgate instead. I and my wife because of this post have now been thrown out of Halifax bank although I am a customer for over 40 years.

Had an appointment booked to get a joint account with my partner, we both took the morning off work. Appointment was booked two weeks ago because they couldn't fit us in any sooner. Got to the bank at 9am and there was a notice on the door saying they wouldn't be open. Appreciate things like this can be unavoidable due to unforeseen circumstances but, my partner is an existing customer and you had our mobile numbers and we received no notice of the closure before getting to the door of the bank. Disappointed we went to Nat West around the corner they were able see us and set up a joint bank account on the spot.
