Do not recommend, I put my HSBC card to draw cash out on their inside cash machine and it has damaged my bank card where It affected me to walk 40 minutes back to home..They also did not help my mum after she lost her card in the machine, they said they've cancelled it and have to wait for a new card, not even checking if someone used her card..Be warned.Never seen a ATM machine do this to any of my previous cards

After basically specifically travelling to the UK to be able sort my account with Nationwide a member of the staff refused to help find a solution for me. I later called customer service and was informed there absolutely was an easy solution and the person could and should have helped me. Unhelpful, poor attitude and either ignorant or unwilling to help. Hugely disappointing service.

I now understand why this branch is reviewed so lowly. Attention to detail, attitude and service are abysmal, setting aside incompetence. Emmanuel, the employee who ?helped?, has left me susceptible to a lawsuit.I spoke to Nationwide in advance of my visit, asking if anything was necessary outside of showing up with a passport, in order to transfer essentially my life savings for a property purchase; I was told that as long as the payment was made via Chaps on the day before it needed to clear, before 2.30pm, it would be fine.Long story short, I made clear the importance of the timing and today is the completion date of my purchase, but the money (that Nationwide told me would be cleared in my solicitors account and having paid £20 via Chaps), has not gone anywhere.I am now in a vulnerable position where the sellers could take legal action, as a result of delay of my purchase, caused by the clowns that are Nationwide. I hold three accounts, which I have done for 11 years- believe me when I say, you are worth going elsewhere, to another high street back, which is exactly where I?ll be going if my ?call back from a team leader within half an hour? doesn?t confirm that Nationwide will do what they say they will do and what I have paid for, in a £20 Chaps fee.The fact your employees are lazy and disenchanted is one thing, but the fact that it can affect your customers livelihood, life savings and potential for criminality, is an absolute disgrace. No remorse or care from you. Turn up at 9am and leave at 6pm without taking any pride in your work is what it is, but the point at which is harms your customers, is when really, you need to look at yourselves in the mirror and have an audit. Shambolic, anxiety inducing, poor service, no one cares. Disgrace.

scuffy door person. I thought he was homeless he was unshaven, casually dressed with tight skinny jeans no suit or tie.So much so I asked him if he had a an identity badge. No? Things must be bad. Perhaps this is the new fashion. If so I apologise I am not young so perhaps more building societies may adopt a similar style?The staff gave adviceI was told that I would need a solicitor for probate. However you can do this yourself so not necessary. So they really should not tell people this always double check online. So I saved £500 by doing this myself. So be careful when taking advice from these people.Beware they are there just to make money from you, like all banks, so always seek a second opinion just Google it could save you £1000s or lose you £1000s if you fail to do so.
