I just had to leave a review for this fabulous supermarket. Incredible selection of fresh and organic fruit and veg, GREAT kosher section, and lovely treats lining the shelves - but the best part for me was the fishmongers. I keep kosher but also have a severe allergy to shellfish and molluscs. The fishmonger in store really put me at ease with his knowledge of kosher fish as well as his awareness of allergies. He thoroughly cleaned his tools, the counter etc and washed the fish i bought well. He filleted up a red snapper for me which I'd never had before, and WOW! It was so fresh - at a level of freshness I've only gotten from coastal towns in Ireland where I grew up. I will be returning without question!

A lovely supermarket with a great selection. A little pricey but I have to give an extra star for a surprisingly good selection of Lithuanian products I will definitely come back!

Lovely grocery shop that?s been around for ages. This time I felt like an ice tea and ham sandwich for under £10, great deal.

Just bought 2 store made baguettes from Kavanagh's in Belsize Park to share with my family. The unanimous view was that they are the worst sandwiches we have had in a very very long time. Both baguettes hardly had any filing in them and were truly tasteless - so much bread and little content. We found minuscule pieces of bacon in the chicken bacon sweetcorn and found the the southern fried chicken baguette dry. They were £5.50 each. There was no redeeming feature and I wish I could return them - had I lived close by - But they have ended up in the bin.

So happy our local Budgens went through a makeover. So much more pleasant to do shopping here! Some nice selection of Eastern European products, cheeses, jamon. There is also a fishmonger and post office

Prices here are a joke. For example: Viakal is £5.75, in Tesco Express it?s £3. Ecover fab softener is £6.89, in Nisa a few doors down it?s £2.50The refurb looks great though. Unfortunately they are robbing us.Also it?s a shame they gave up on being more plastic free, there is still so much plastic in use.

They have some real interesting picks to their selection. Unfortunately their range of sandwiches are premium priced but very average in taste. Not tried their other products yet but after tasting a few of the sandwiches I'm not sure I'll bother.

Amazing supermarket and the service was excellent by Ivy. She was the one who helped me a lot with always a smile on her face like a shinning star.

An upmarket convenience store that is almost opposite Belize Park Underground Station on the Northern Line. These Budgen stores seem to be individually named and this one is slightly different to the Budgen nearest me in East Finchley. An absolute delight inside and far from the mini-supermarkets operated by the Big Supermarket companies that have small stripped down versions of their stores with a limited range of products. This place is way better than a normal convenience store. It feels a bit like the small market/delis you get in American towns. Very high-end produce mixed with well priced branded goods and cheap crisps and snacks for the quick shopper.I like the model and it's well worth a visit if you've never been in the New Budgens.

Kavanagh's Budgen is a great supermarket now with a warming and inviting atmosphere. However, some of their prices are absurd, and an obvious exploitation just because it is located in Belsize Park and it is the only super market here. What is more difficult to understand is how the aggressive woman who seems to be running the smoothie counter is.She was rude and so unkind when I asked a question about the ingredients and price. Customers should pay attention to how stern she looks when making the smoothies and juices. She looks angry and tense and that energy is what will go directlyinto the drinks. It is also hard to understand how she came up with chargingan absurd £7,50 for a small smoothie! Joe and The Juice by comparison charges at least £3 less for a small smoothie and they are in Hampstead, an even more expensive area. When I asked her why is the smoothie so much more than in other shops? Very angry and in an aggressive way she replied: 'Do you know how much it costs to live in Belsize Park Madam!!! Living in Belsize Park should not justify these charges. You should respect all your customers and not be so angry when a customer checks the prices as after all it is a customer's right to ask a question in a kind way about something she/he is buying and that is what I did.Not a nice experience at the juice counter at Kavanagh again, but the other day a really king young woman was at the counter and the opposite happened. If you work in retail you should not bring your anger to the public. What happened was not ok and I hope Kavanagh's manager looks into this as it is not the first time.

We waited a long time for the refurbishment to be completed and, at first, were very impressed by it. But soon realized the stock was just as limited as it had been before, in some areas even more so. It's pretty annoying that management don't seem to grasp the fact that a lot of people don't eat meat but still like convenience food sometimes. There's plenty of meat pies, pasties, etc. But why did they stop selling vegan sausage rolls and vegetable patties? There is virtually nothing quick to grab for lunch if you don't eat meat. Pretty poor stock planning.

A wide selection of grocery and essentials. The staff are always so helpful. The supermarket is clean and tidy. Very pleasant shopping experience. They also have healthy fresh ready made meals, a sushi takeaway and juice bar. All in all, my favourite local supermarket!

Shocking cruelty with crabs and lobsters (with pincers tied) in small tanks. Absolutely disgusting. The place is also ridiculously overpriced, but that won't bother me as I walked out and will not visit alarm until they stop the cruelty.

Just went it to Kavanaghs to buy some flowers and chocolates. I was eating a croissant from Pret and Kalman, the manager walked towards me and said that better not be our pastries from the counter. I laughed and said no it's from Pret. He raised his eyebrows as if I was lying and walked away.As a regular who has spent well over £1,000 at your store I expect to be treated with the same integrity I adopt when shopping. The rest of the staff are great and very helpful however I found Kalman to be extremely rude for those comments today.I suggest senior management have a word with him to reward customer loyalty instead of deteriorating it.

Great renovation. comfortable trolleys, can be operated with one hand, wow. wide aisles. All items are the same as before. juices and ready meals inside. post office in the farthest corner of the store. I came in the evening, but there was a lot of ready-made food in cash. Hurrah.
