I have been coming to Bupa Dental Care in Hampton Hill for quite a few years now; and each time it has been such a pleasant experience. Dentist Stephen Gentle and his nurse are just the best team. I am a bit of a nervous patient; but they never make you feel silly. I always come away with a good feeling and not the least for the great work they do on my teeth. Definitely recommend this practice!

Dentist, Mr Gentle, and his team are absolutely amazing. However the online forms and continuous texts and emails are frustrating and some of the medical questions asked are completely irrelevant and highly inappropriate- felt invasive of my privacy.

I recently had a large, odd angled wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Gentle and it was just a perfect experience from start to finish. I was very nervous and he and his nurse did a fantastic job of explaining everything and reassuring me, the extraction was quick, professional and painless! I was so pleasantly surprised! The healing process was so fast and the wound was expertly sewn and cleaned - I?ve had zero complications and would trust Steve and Dr. Pal with anything. Always an amazing experience with both dentists - can?t recommend enough.

I had an appointment with Marija Ivanovic and I can only say that everyone in the practice was excellent, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and caring. I had the best diagnose ever and based on medical help not commercial interest. Prices were very competitive too. Thank you.

I moved to the area recently, and came here looking for my new dentists. This place was great. The facilities are modern and clean, and the people were lovely. My dentist Mandi was very friendly and welcoming. There was no attempt to take advantage of me by pushing me into expensive treatment - just an honest assessment about my teeth including what I was doing well and what would be expensive in future if not improved. Mandi?s open and professional manner was reassuring and the whole process was quick and efficient. I will absolutely come back when it?s time for my next check up.

I am unusual. I am disabled and have teeth with nerves that die slowly and painfully. (At Uni, the dentists liked deep fillings and within two years, the first nerve died. Then a second.) By the time I was 30, I think three molars had had the nerves removed. This old approach to fillings wasn't generally known by the 80s, so few dentists understood why I had so many root treated teeth. Sadly, more nerves would die and some became reinfected. Also, general dentists took a while to recognise the cause of my pain and would wait months until the abscess showed up on an x-ray. If another died, they felt responsible though they weren't.Before Christmas, I described this as a very good practice with lovely receptionists. My dentist who is retiring, seemed unbelievably good at lots of things and he worked with my 'allergies'. He was most kind, patient and caring and I felt very lucky to have found him. The other dentists were also the type you can trust. The only negatives: No Saturday appointments (like many practices) and there were a few times when it wasn't possible to get same day emergency appointment. If in severe pain, that depressed me but staff thought this unreasonable. Still, five out of five. For many years, my dentist found various materials that I did not react to and I seemed dentally normal.then stress and old age took their toll and I began to have twinges. It was usually after a few months of these that I was sent to extremely good specialists for opinions. Working together, I became pain free very quickly. But root treated teeth are brittle and prone to fracture and mine did. As my mother was dying. One after the other. Three had to be extracted within a year or so. Still, the dentist made me a wonderfully comfortable denture and all seemed well. Then the last living molar gave up at Christmas and it too succumbed to an infection. In two roots. As my dentist was on holiday, I was referred to a colleague who seemed really nice and did all the tests bar an x-ray. She cleaned the tooth and I was ok for two days. Then my gum started to throb (sign of inflammation or infection), so I asked her if I could consult the endodontist. She gave her permission and we also agreed to replace the compromised filling. I didn't see that in the notes. The endodontist took five minutes to diagnose an irreversible pulpitis. I sent my dentist an update when he was back from sick leave, with the specialist's advice that the newly root treated tooth required a crown asap. There was a crack. The dentist rang to ask what had happened and I summarised the whole sorry story. I was then informed that he felt that neither he nor any other dentist in the practice could help me further. My heart broke.I had done nothing wrong. I'd never been abusive or rude. I hadn't blamed him for anything and we had muddled through. Then I was sent the notes for the new dentist and discovered that information such as the throbbing (which gave the diagnosis away) was missing and that I had apparently self-referred (I hadn't). The endodontist referred me to a scan and the professor who looked at it referred me to a surgeon.I should have liked to thank everyone for the many years of taking good care of me but my last appointment with the dentist was cancelled. Based on erroneous and incomplete information and maybe frustration. Those lucky enough to be a patient and have normal teeth are in excellent hands. I hated writing about the final weeks. Would I have been 'excluded'if the notes had been accurate? I'll never know. I just wish that I wasn't made to feel guilty about something beyond my control.Postscript. Practice manager phoned to clarify. They felt they could not meet my needs. Those are x-ray, hygienist, crown and adjustment of newish denture. Still heart broken. This is a very good practice. Was.
