“The staff at the Mitre were fantastic. Right from the greeting, as soon as you get out of your car, they couldn't have been any more helpful or polite.The service was fantastic throughout the hotel,whether it was just a drink at the bar or evening meal in the restaurant.You can park your car outside and ask the hotel to book you a taxi with a local company and not have to worry about driving. We used them to go to Kew, much easier than driving.The location is fantastic. The hotel is right by the side of the Thames and directly opposite Hampton Court Palace. Kew Gardens is a few miles away. Just across the bride are some nice restaurants and bars. I would strongly recommend trying The Box, which is a street food vendor serving a variety of fresh wraps.The area has something for everybody if you want a short break.A couple of issues we found were that the bedroom carpet was in dire need of changing, and the bath panel looked like a beaver had chewed it. Other than these issues, the bed was comfortable ,we had air-conditioning , the fridge was useful, and the room was clean.We would stay again without hesitation.Rooms: The room was comfy and had everything you would expect.Nearby activities: Hampton Court is a 20 second walk away. There is easy access to the Thames footpath. Kew Gardens is also only a 30 minute drive away.Food & drinks: Nice terrace area right by the Thames where you can sit with a cold drink and have something to eat.Restaurant had a small menu,however,the food was well prepared and presented. Throughly enjoyed our meal.Noteworthy details: The Staff.Very polite and genuinely seemed happy to help.”
