Staff have always been very good at the branch though there are simply not enough counters. Some things can't be done online or at the machine. When Santander closes all the branches and reduces the opening times, they should always ensure there are enough counters for the staff to serve customers at the remaining central branch. Queue is always long and staff try their best to help but they need to fix the bottleneck there.

Completely unhelpful and unconcerned. Terrible customer service.When my account details were hacked, I was contacted by Santander fraud department and an appointment was made for me to come into the bank to cancel my account and have a new one set up.When I arrived at the bank, not only did they have no record of my appointment, they claimed to have no appointments for 4 weeks. They told me that all they could do was to cancel my bank account not make a new one in that time. When I asked how long I'd have to wait to cancel, the line attendant simply shrugged and told me that the woman I'd speak to was about to take her lunch.Infuriated, I went across the square to the bank opposite who set up an account for me in 30 MINUTES! Complete with card and savings account to boot. Why Santander couldn't set me up an account that day and why I'd have to make an appointment for 4 weeks I have no clue.Needless to say I will not be banking with Santander in the future, and neither should you. Their customer service has truly gone down the drain in reccent years and I've had my account with them since Alliance and Leister.

Always long queues.I went to deposit cash they encouraged to use cash machine inside the bank and i went through the process in the machine , middle of the transaction cash machine broken taken my cash , it didn?t register my cash or didn?t come out after machine broken . I have to return home empty handed just to believe manager that he will call me later once the machine fix to know that my money is inside the machine .

Awful bank, I was waiting in queue for 40mins, only 2 counters open. They need to refurbish the branch and have more counters open. Have no choice but to go there because they have shut all the local branches down.

Don't give a monkeys about the customers. Closing so many branches to try and force you to go online. Due to this Pandemic a lot of fraud going online. And if your elderly not always easy easy to travel far away.

Be Careful with the right hand cash machine deposited 300 pounds no transaction showing money and card got stuck 3 weeks ago until today they don?t bother no answer lost my money.

WARNING: I've been busy or I would have published this sooner. On the evening of Sunday 10 November 2019 I attempted to withdraw some money.The transaction appeared to go through normally, except that after the message that cash was being counted etc appeared, no cash was dispensed - THERE WAS NO WARNING THAT FUNDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE A/C (IN FACT THEY WERE) NOR ANY WARNING THE MACHINE WAS OUT OF CASH. When I checked the balance, the money was shown as debited....I had to phone and get the balance re-credited next day, taking an hour off work. This meant making the time or losing pay as I am paid by the hour. No compensation offered by Santander.For the record, the machine I used was the one on the right hand side facing the bank.

Santander, Worst bank in the 20th century. Charging exploitation amounts on interest, and costing me over £60 each month in charges.
