Orate to be honest can?t complain with a lidl like
March 2024 by Aliya M
So, I finally dipped my toes into the world of Lidl, and boy, was it a trip!Picture this: I stroll in, expecting your usual grocery store vibe, but boom! Right at the entrance, I'm hit with this bakery wonderland, like Greggs on steroids! LOLBut here's the kicker:The aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, drawing customers like bees to honey.Im not kidding humans were swarming around the bakery section like they'd just discovered the holy grail of pastries. I mean, come on, as if people were vying for prized treasures.(Bless their souls)Once I navigated past the bakery madness, the rest of the store was surprisingly chill. I'm not sure if Lidl's known for its bakery or if it's just a morning thing, but hey, it's all good. We move. Now, here's where things got a bit wonky. The checkout situation was a bit of a mess. With only a handful of self checkout tills open, it felt like everyone was playing a game of checkout roulette. And guess who's stuck in line with just one item? Yep, yours truly!Shoutout to the kind souls who graciously allowed me to skip ahead in the queue, recognising the urgency of a swift checkout. Also, let's not forget to give a shoutout to the rude M'fers who had no logical sense!I only had 1 item! ? £0.55 for digestives ? BARGIN!But seriously, Lidl, can we talk about opening up more tills? You have 6 on show, why not open, and let staff use them? Unless their there for fashion?Self-checkouts are cool and all, but when others have trolleys/baskets full of groceries, they're not exactly the speediest option. In a nutshell, Lidl's got this quirky charm that's worth experiencing. Just be prepared for the bakery frenzy and exercise a bit of patience at the checkout. It's all part of the Lidl adventure! ???

If you go here early (8 am) or at round 5pm-i think, you can get the fresh bakery goods. My favourite are the chocolate croissants.

I personally love this one more than the uxbridge one. This has alot more variety. I love their bakery items. I had one of their boston cream donut and I loved it. So fresh and delicious. The items are way fresh always.

I usually do not write reviews but i have to mention the experience that i had at this lidl in Hayes town. Ive been to other Lidl?s before and the first thing I noticed is that this is very clean store. I usually go early in the morning to get bakery which i love. I came to the store and i couldn?t find what I needed and was about to leave frustrated and then a very nice lady her name tag had the name Antonia on it came to me with such positive energy willing to help me and asked how she could help i explained the situation and straight away got me what i needed and she even suggested similar items and more options I?ve never had such a lovely and quick experience and felt my needs were met. Best experience ever!!

Prices not displayed properly for some items. Prices of many items going up from 10 to 40 percent. Bananas and oranges low quality, vegetables good. Lidl brand Biscuits bland low standard.

I was very surprised and in consternation to be stopped suspected of dodging to pay: when it's your local stop shop where you frequent since wemoved into the locality back 2018...6yrs and the staff lack due diligence to supervise operations...and after producing evidence the attendant giggles and thanks me .....no apologies...I thought after 6 yrs of local visits some things would not happen...from.now on I will probably be asking them.to stand by until I complete my paying...and that when it's the last resort to enter there...sadly.

Why is it OK for able bodied people to park in Disabled bay. There doesn't seem to be any monitoring of parking. Today I challenged a young female adult who stayed in her car and parked in a disabled bay without her disabled badge on display. Her question to me was ' how do you know I am not disabled'. She's absolutely right but if you are going to park in a disabled bay then display your badge.
