I would like to echo the most recent comments and reviews on this garage - extremely terrible service. Turned up to be told booking was cancelled. Guy was literally calling people to tell them bookings cancelled. When I finally managed to get his attention and asked him why not call me before since my booking was earlier - started shouting in response that not his problem, call customer service, he?s just following orders, doesn?t have time to process my refund. Screaming was pretty upsetting to hear so I left straight away. He was a Halfords employee as per his shirt.Called customer service - were sympathetic and gave me the refund but no further action was taken.

Very bad garage! I did a booking online to check my A/C, went all the way there to be told that they don?t do A/C, because they don?t have the machines! They already charged me for the booking and they told me to go to the Finchley branch, drive all the way there, they told me that they can check some staff but not everything so probably I have to go to another garage! Left the car there, spent money for the taxi( this garage is much more far from my place), go back later just to be told that I have to change the filter and the first available day is after a week! I change it myself in less than 5 minutes! Waste of time and money, very unprofessional

Don?t be lured in by the big brand name, this garage is awful. Their mechanics don?t know about cars, told me my car was missing a part that it never had in the first place, they then ?repaired? my car but in actual fact broke the suspension, resulting in 2 additional days of the car being in the garage. Communication from the garage is incredibly poor, your car will not be ready when they say it will be, they will not call you to give you an update, they will be dismissive and condescending. Avoid at all costs.

The good: pricing was extremely competitive online. This is what brought me to them - was easy to book an appointment. The staff in the branch were friendly and helpful despite it clearly being very busy.The annoying: They're a very busy garage, so for just tyres it's really not the fastest place. It took about an hour for two tyres. In addition, the tracking machine wasn't working - they apologised and refunded that amount (prepaid online). Tyres were also both significantly overinflated - which was obviously easy to deal with, but not ideal.The bad: neither wheel was correctly balanced. As I still needed tracking, I took car to a place recommend by my mechanic, and noticed lots of vibration through steering wheel on the drive there. Asked the other place to check the balance and it was a bit off one one wheel but severely off on the other (70+40 g).Halfords online support were very responsive and refunded the cost of the re-balancing after submitting photos etc. That was appreciated, but I was only able to identify the issue and get it sorted as I have reasonable car technical knowledge. It makes it hard to trust them with cars in the future and to recommend them to others.Overall, had the wheels been balanced properly, would've happily given 4 stars and considered coming back in the future, especially given the price.

I went for an MOT and service. Their mechanic J Waters failed my MOT and said it needed £1,000 of repairs. I took it to another garage and it was cleared with no fault, with photographic evidence that Halfords' MOT failure was inaccurate.I was frustrated more than anything, but when I called to inform the manager Brendan, he was uninterested and dismissive. Very disappointing attitude from a manager, and I expected more from a reputable brand like Halfords. I won't be returning for work at Halfords ever again and I would encourage others to avoid.Very poor.

AVOID!Went yesterday for my appointment but when I arrived the card machine didn?t work and demanded cash. Refused to write an invoice.When I returned the next day the card machine did work but no one arrived at reception for 25 minutes? when they lifted the car up they tried to put on different tyres to what I had ordered (I ordered run flats, they tried give me standards). If I didn?t know to check, they would have scammed me. They tried tell me my old tyres weren?t run flats, but when I googled, they clearly were.Not worth the hassle / doubt.

My Daughter left in tears. Went to Hendon Halford for a service. 18/11/23. The guy on counter gave no eye contact. Asked if she had service book or wheel locking nuts. She was unaware of what was needed her first car service ever. "Should have looked at our web site' was his answer. Said can't do service then, and just left it at that.. absolutely no eye contact at all. She felt humiliated and stormed out. My daughter called me in tears. I have asked her to complain and I've arranged a service somewhere else!!

This auto centre is sure a grubby, messy, untidy branch from the reception desk, disorganised workshop to the waiting area and disgusting customer toilets..Loud music blasting, boisterousyoung male staff, who could not be even bothered to secure my spare wheel down.Thankfully for me it was just a simple wheel balance job, although now am thinking I should get all wheels double checked!Won?t be returning back here anytime soon; instead will opt for nearby Kwikfit.On a positive note the person at the front desk was welcoming and friendly both to me and others customers in branch / over the phone.

Dropped the car off on a Thursday morning for MOT. Car failed and I was advised it would be ready 4pm Saturday. Turned up 4pm Saturday and was told nothing had been done and nothing had been ordered because no one knew anything about it. Was told the car would be ready on the Sunday as they started opening Sundays recently. Told them I would be out of London but could get it first thing Monday. Also told them I absolutely needed it and was promised it would be ready. Turned up 9am Monday and it still wasn?t ready as the tires still hadn?t been changed!! From Thursday to Monday a simple job had not been completed. Had to pay for cabs back and forth, and missed my pre-booked slot to take my children out for the day all because of the staffs incompetency and failure to speak to one another. To make things more insulting they?re then all stood around laughing after I complained. Not even so much as an apology, just left waiting around.

I am going to give one star review because I have a solid reason for this. I bought a front 2 tyres from them and booked appointment before a week.I came half hour early before my appointment and they keep me wating exactly 2 in a half hours for changing 2 tyres only which is I can changed before somewhere else in exactly 10 to 15 minutes?time is precious not money but they charge me 20 pounds extra then normal price..bad customer service also and poor work?so sorry next time not using halford service and recommend everyone to don?t use your time and money?.

Shouldnt even be one star ! I worked in a garage before being service advisor you need to know a bit about cars , when asked if it?s anything wrong with my car I?ve been told to look on the papers !!!! Disgusting!! On the papers surprise.. sump plug excessively damaged and the cost is £5 ?. If it?s excessively damage I wouldn?t mind to change it rather than let me leave like that ! Disgusting service !Update on your comment : why would you ask me to go on a page to find the right topic to take my time to complete your useless forms when the mistake is yours ?????Make you should train your front staff better how to talk the customers and not be on the phone while talking to customers and know a lil bit about cars !!!!!!! In this case maybe they will change a £5 excessively damaged sump plug !

Unlike all other Halfords, they did MOT before service and made me fail the mot due to low washer fluid! And they did all these without notice. They want to scam me £550 for changing suspension rod arm and wheel alignment. Jay said car collection is at 4:30pm but less than an hour later he called me and the car is ready. I'm sure they cut corners on the service part too. Jay is not to be trusted, he promised £10 discount upon joining free motor membership, of course that didn't happen. this centre is disgusting and should be closed, DON'T TRUST JAY!

Free checks are a scam!The wheel alignment free check highlighted a problem with the suspension so we were told to do a free suspension check. The suspension check showed we apparently needed completely new track rods and a new gator as this was cracked. Halfords total ~£450.We usually go to our local small garage to fix our car but on this occasion they didn't have the machinery for a wheel alignment. We did however go to them for the new rods and gator Halfords said we needed, and the mechanic told us the rods were absolutely fine (1 new, 1 in working order), and the gator was just missing a clip (not cracked at all). The clip and labour cost £50.We wasted so much time going back and forth to different Halfords branches for the checks and were so disappointed to find out they were trying to charge us for things we didn't need. I'd completely avoid them if I were you. Their costs look appealing, especially for the free checks, but it'll end up costing you a bomb and wasting your time.

Customer service very arrogant in person and over the phone not helpfull at all they get their job description and responsibilities fundamentally wrong this people exist on such a position to help us as customers navigate deligate book schedule explain clarify to customer, everything that is required by the business provided from our side!!!
