On the 26th of July 2016, I visited marks&spars at approximately 11:45am. Whilst I was standing at the Squash section where the non-refrigerated drinks are kept - along one side of the wall, nearby the staff exit for loading items and with CCTV's up on the ceilings. Two female staff members, one named Kerry and her colleague were f-ing and blinding and laughing about another colleague of theirs, loud enough for anyone in the surrounding area I was standing to hear them. I, as a customer was disgusted to hear such foul language being allowed to be used freely within a working environment such as Mark's & Spencer! Then whilst queuing up at Colin's till. My receipt number: 09872126 661216 105 0628. A friend of Colin's lent up against his section laughing and talking to Colin about Indian's coming in... while serving customers. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. All I could do was turn and look at the customer queuing up behind me, and we both raised our eyebrows.I thought to myself who in their right minds would think to employ such bias disrespectful and inconsiderate individuals? It appears to me that Mark's & Spencer need to review and have a rethink of their Human Resource Management, that is if they have one? From an very dissatisfied customer.

It's nice to have a Marks and Spencer in Lewisham! Anojana at the tills in Clothing Department was very helpful and friendly! What an awesome service she provided!

I was made to feel uncomfortable by young black lady with piercing doing the reduced stickers on Sunday afternoon. She abruptly threatened to call her manager over to me for simply doing my weekly shopping and seemed to have a strop behaving like an adolescent. I was shocked by this bizzare behaviour. I did not hassle her in any way and respected her personal space by staying at least a 2 metre distance. It seems she has mental health issues that need addressing before working within a in retail environment.

Terrible experience by the male supervisor or manager of the cafe. He was very very rude, catty and seemed more concerned about giving quick responses. He made it clear M&S does not have to maintain any kind of customer service level whatsoever. It is absolutely horrendous behaviour. Both ladies working at the cafe that day were very rude and they both stood there defending each other. I have been going to M&S for 20 years with no problems, I will never be going to that cafe again. Either the managers are incompetent or the HR are incompetent, because the result are extremely poor customer service and people who 100% don't care for the customer at all.

I visited M&S Lewisham shopping centre on 11/06 at 16:40h and used the self checkout machine as I wanted to pay in cash. The staff lady was very rude. I was confused with the change the machine gave me. I explained to the staff, and she, with so much anger pressed the button to release the receipt and tapped it on top of the machine with arrogance and full with hate.In the contraste with the lady on the counter who is very polite and always greet customers, but unfortunately the counters were closed at that time.

17 June 2023: Lewisham store. Witnessed a female member of staff this morning (pink t shirt, brunette hair) being extremely irate with and shouting over the course of several minutes at a very elderly gentleman who appeared to be having difficulty with the self service checkout in the Lewisham store. It was horrible to see. The staff member?s behaviour distressed me and one can only guess at how the customer felt. I felt so much for the apparently vulnerable customer. Given my concerns, I spoke to another member of staff who could hear her colleague?s interaction with the customer and she appeared uncomfortable and embarrassed about it. Really poor show M&S. Do you really think your customers deserve no better? I would urge review of the CCTV of this incident which happened over the course of several minutes shortly before 10am this morning. Shameful and saddening. I left without doing the food shopping I had planned to do in store as a result of this incident. How the poor customer felt afterwards, I hate to think. I think you owe it to the customer to find out who he was and apologise profusely to him. The staff member certainly needs training in the basics of customer service and human decency, I would say.

I had a horrendous experience in this shop today. The security guard although black targets black girls to follow around the shop. This is outrageous in this day and age. The workers are so sweet and lovely especially the lady who works at the self checkout tills. You need to do better .

Good shop to have in Lewisham Town Centre - only issue is with the bakery. No fresh baked goods / bread until about 10am each morning. Not ideal.

Toilets are shocking. They definitely don't do a proper clean at least once a day with bleach. Shocking for the M&S brand.

Not very helpful to Disabled customers at this store. No Disabled counter. I went few days ago to collect a parcel, queue was huge so I knew I wouldn?t manage to stand that long as my mobility is limited and walk with stick. Was on life support 4 months. Anyway I asked a middle aged plain clothes lady possibly supervisor if someone could please get my parcel omg she was so dismissive told me to just get in queue, I explained I can?t stand for long she said well you will just have to queue. Then as I walk away she said to young girl she was training on till, OH PEOPLE REALLY DO TRY IT ON she needs to queue like everyone.UNKIND & UNPROFESSIONAL

No staff working anywhere at all in the clothes department. Shoes left everywhere causing people to trip over.
