Staff seem to have lost the ability to communicate with customers. At the till today the staff member operating the till didn't even bother to look up or offer a please or thank you during the transaction.

Much more expensive than nearby Tesco. Would recommend you go there.They have cut down on staff. There is self checkout and then one staff checkout (which is always busy with people buying alcohol and cigarettes).The self checkouts always have problems and then there is no staff to help you out so you are standing around waiting for ages.

Wrong guy in the door! Sorry, I just was about to buy something 20 minutes a go, was raining and the guy on the door was very rude with me, the way that he used to talk with me about my umbrella is not the right one! You should be have better quality staff!! , I just leave because I lost the desire to buy my things and I went to another place, I felt ashamed in front of people there.

Walked there at around 6pm on a Sunday, it was incredibly cold, windy and snowy. Got there and the guy said they had closed for an hour to restock... You restock during closing hours, or you restock when people are shopping. Not difficult to work out. Some one from head office needs a word with the manager.

Was in sainsbury's portobello road this morning and there was a cockroach on top of the food I told the manager and his reply was it's came from outside be careful with the croissant and rolls as they were still selling them after I told the manager

I visited the shop today (18/07/2020). I was in the process of paying and when I tapped my contactless apparently the payment did not go through but I did not realize as I was putting my stuff in my bags. The manager of the store started shouting in front of everyone and spoke to me in such a rude way even though the payment incident was clearly an accident. I would highly recommend that this guy gets reported and perhaps replaced. This is not a way of treating customers as accidents like this happen everyday. Will never spend money to that Sainsbury's branch again!

The staff at this branch are fantastic and really do go the extra mile to help customers. I was so pleased they watched my bike and saw first hand the care they gave to an elderly lady.

This was not me but was posted to my FB group had also been posted to sainsburys community page , the actions require some explanation if that is at all possible.
"Today I went shopping at Sainsbury and needed brandy to make my chicken liver pate. When I was going to pay I asked to the lady for a bottle of brandy, when for my surprise she tells me that she doesn´t know if she can sell the bottle because and quote "you wear a thing in the nose". I patiently tried to explain that I had pulmonary fibrosis and why I had to use oxygen. She replied that it did not matter and that she had to ask the manager. She called him and the talk was about me getting drunk or not. I was not believing what I heard and how much I was feeling humiliated just for the simple fact of using oxygen. Just to say that I'm 54 years old and at that moment I felt nobody. Sorry for my outburst but I'm very upset ð??¡

Decent overall. Friendly security staff who always greets me :) But they never have enough selection here, especially if it's too early in the day (before they stock up) or too late in the day (when everything's sold out). They recently added self check out machines, which sped up the check out a lot more.
