“Had to return a package and went to My Local Food & Wine at 487 Liverpool Rd first (closest shop to my house). Was told the machine was broken. Asked if I can take their phone number so I can call before coming in again as it's a long walk-- was told they don't have a number. Shop assistant just wanted to get rid of me, which I understand since this is a hassle for them :(Figured I've walked this far.. might as well walk a bit further. So I hauled my box to Mack's news. The owner asked me for my return barcode-- of course my phone decided to not cooperate and it just wouldn't show the barcode. I read out the serial code, it didn't work. Huge panic. Owner said don't worry let's try again. hallelujah. Second time is a charm. Niceness a sorely underrated virtue these days and you're the recipient it really makes your day.The store is well stocked with Asian spices and other household items, if you need a quick pantry refill.”

“Keep the variety of international foods up! Very good selection of both British and international foods (American) to choose from, managed to pick up things which I haven’t had before.”

“Small sainsburys, stocking most essentials. Usually use to grab a soup or a pizza on the way home.. or for a few odds and ends. Not big enough for a proper shop”

“Well placed Tesco, especially if you work nearby! This store looks alot smaller on the outside than it actually is. Great for top up shop or the famous lunch time meal deal which is perfect for a working lunch meal. The store is clean and the staff are friendly”

“The staff are lovely, helpful, always friendly. Yes, it is more expensive than supermarket chains (which there are plenty of 5-10min walk if you need), but as a local convenience store, it's always very well stocked and very handy. I find anything in this place, from 15 types of breads, to niche French products I never find anywhere else, to fresh vegetables/herbs and your usual canned goods, there's also a big frozen foods section and a huge selection of wine / beers of all kinds. It's also spotless. And again, the staff are so friendly and remember you and greet you every time. Yes, they are stacking shelves often, how is that a criticism in other reviews? That means the shop is always fully stocked in every single lane. Not sure why the reviews are so low, I love having this shop around instead of yet another half empty Tesco's.”
