I recently had a disappointing customer service experience at the Barclays branch located at Barkingside high st. Upon arrival, there was a considerable wait time before I was able to speak with a staff member. Despite the branch not being particularly busy, the wait was longer than expected, leading to frustration and inconvenience.When I finally had the opportunity to speak with a representative, I found her level of attentiveness to be lacking. She appeared distracted and disinterested, making me feel undervalued as a customer. The staff member I interacted with seemed uninformed about certain banking procedures and was unable to provide me clear answers to my questions. I left the branch feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of service provided.

Well staffed, plenty of cash points and tellers. Parking is difficult but overall good to have a local branch

This is the worst experience of customer service I have ever encountered. My elderly mother was instructed that the only way she could access her money as she wanted to was to wait over 3 hrs to comply with their constantly changing policies for transferring money in the absence of online banking, waiting in branch with no access to facilities. Any attempt i made to contact the branch to find out if she was ok ended in failure as the branch telephone number is not available and was not provided. The so called telephone customer service is terrible, waited over 1hr trying to get through.I would steer clear of Barclays bank after this experience and particularly barkingside branch especillaly for the elderly

Mr Gee Singh tried to help with setting up my mobile bankng app, he called me and said he would call again in '5 mins' to check if it was working, he didn't call and its not working! They can't do it over the phone ..due to unprofessionalism being so commonplace it took me well over a year to get round to going into a branch to do this only to have my fear fulfilled of my time being wasted! I have been with barclaycard well over 20 years but time to switch due to this useless app business which no staff can set up!!

i went into halifax branch in barkingside the lady on the counter was unhelpful and moody and didnt sort out my request, and spoke as if she wasnt bothered! however i went into barclays barkingside to deal with the same request and the lady on the counter sukvinder virdee was happy smiling and spoke to me nicely and sorted out my request and took the time to ask if imhad anything else she could help with , very nice helpfull staff as suppose to halifax staff . no wonder halifax branches are closing .

Staff are as helpful as they can be however wait time to see someone is around an hour. Definitely avoid. This has been a long ongoing problem which they seem to not be doing anything about. They need more staff to cater people who have queries regarding their account.However if You?re here to use the cash machine then that shouldn?t be a problem as the queues go really fast.

Customer service assistant named Sujata was quite rude and blunt in her manner. I understand you have to get the queue moving but you shouldn?t be speaking to customers in that manner.

Horrible customer service, very unexperienced people work in the branch. They don?t pay attention to details. Visited branch twice to change my surname, was told it was updated. When checked my statements it was still showing an old one. What a waste of time.

I have attended attended today as new Barclays app was not opening I am not happy with the service Queue wa not managed prophet I did mentioned 're child care issue.Need to improve please.

Yesterday, at the Barkingside branch, we found there is no organised queuing system for customers (waiting for Barclays staff members to deal with bank transfers). We found certain members were shown favouritism and jumped the queue. My elderly mum, who is also a Barclays customer, was asked to move when she was seated; whilst I waited for Barclays customer service. There should be a fair and organised ticketing system set up with enough chairs - especially for elderly customers.
