Staff at the Coventry central six were appalling. There were 2 people out the back where donations go. And 4 people at the tills with no customers. I donated lots of things. I asked for help carrying them in. Was told there was only 2 staff members. So the four at the till may have been relatives I?m not sure. Due to having a bad back I had to leave all my donations at the side of the till on entry. Then a member of staff said I have to take them Down to the far of the shop. No one had the curtesy to even say thank you. I said I can?t I have a bad back. Plus I had to leave my boot open which meant my car doors were open and my hand bag was on the front passenger seat. All the stuff I donated was really good stuff. I will never take anything to that store again

Well....we had a referral from Gp to well-being the hub. I got through to Barnados by accident after several attempts and emails, calls, and voicemails to the hub, but the woman that helped me is named Angela March, support and advice line. She took away the anxiety created by staff at the well being the hub, talked me through the process, and helped me feel more optimistic about a very difficult time. Seeking help is tough and Angela just made me feel like it was safe. I hope your head office recognises you.

After supporting your charity for quite a few years I am not at all impressed with the response I had this morning from staff at Quedgeley Gloucester collection point. I took two bags of books in only to be told they had enough books and refused to take anymore. I thought you were a charity desperate to raise funds. Seems that is not the case.

The basis and values you preach to your staff is clearly not observed by senior/regional management.... Under valued, critical, spoken to like 4year olds, bullying and volunteers not even acknowledged.... These are the people who go out of their way week in week out to bring the much needed funds to those who need it most... Its not in my opinion the staff who need training it's higher up the ladder and I speak from experience hence why I left your employment....

I went into our local barnardos shop in beechhill wigan on sunday morning.I have spent a lot of money in this shop over the years. It has receintly been taken over by new management,i was looking at an item that was in a box to check if all the bits were there, some fell out of the box onto the floor,i was so rudley told that i should of put in on the counter and let them open it,and was then told that i wouldent go into tesco opening boxes. Why then not have a notice saying that you cannot open things,if something had of broke i would of gladly paid for it,this attitude is not acceptable.

So much history in one grounds, I could almost picture the young children on the green back in the day when it was a rescue home for children, such a shame to see flats have replaced so much, inevitable changes but how costly to history

Your Worker Does not Care about CoVID, and is unlawful.I had an unpleasant experience in Bernardos shop Urmston. I was refused return of faulty item purchased at another branch. A Nike jumper -£7 otherwise I would not bother. It had manufacturing cut at the back I have not noticed prior. Woman on the till- short hair curly, was unsympathetic, unundersanding. I had to isolate as my son had COVID. I was 2 days of the 14 days return, I was hoping that inspire of that in times of pandemic we should help each other out, behaviour of this worker was unlawful as per The Consumer Rights Act 2015 I was entitled to a full refund on faulty item cases, from a reasonable time to a fixed period (in most cases) of 30 days. I was a regular customer, bought many items there for me and my son. I will no longer support this business, and I highly recommend you not to buy there too.

I went to barnardo's home here when I was a child. I hated it. I am 70 now but I still remember my times there. I was there with a brother and two sisters but we were in separate cottages

One of yours stores (Leyland) horrible staff didn't treat their volunteers with any respect. Volunteers don't get paid so remember that, treat them with respect they don't have to stay for the hours set they are doing it on their own time. I wish you would train your store managers and paid workers a lot better on this subject

Dr Barnardos, when I was there. Pains my heart to see how much the place had been desecrated over the years. Finally, somebody, stood up for all this asset stripping and gave it a Grade II listing. What really peeves me is that despite all the Millions of £ spent on tearing down the old Offices and rebuilding, even considering relocating, they could not muster a budget to refurbish Dr Thomas Barnado's memorial !!!!! The word heritage may of lost it's meaning. At least the Courts placed a plaque noting it built on the Spot of the Old Mossford Lodge ( and School ). The private company did a good job of refurbishing the cottages, but lost the plot with it's sign, Banning Children from playing on the Green! Dr Barnardos must be turning in his grave at the suggestion. 4 Star's for the memories.
