I have been to many Anytime Fitness franchises at least in 7 countries and I think this has to be among the worst there is. The reasons include:-1. No internetThe gym is so cheapskate that it doesnt have free wifi available and the only you see is the hotel wifi (the Royal Garden Hotel which is affiliated to this AF) and the connection is so bad and unstable. This prevents from using those workout apps that require stable internet connection. I note that this was identified in an earlier review but wasnt sorted. It shouldnt take that long to fix internet although knowing the UK with terrible service in general, maybe that's why it just takes too much time.2. Dated equipmentUnderstandably when a gym is in the basement, moving equipment in and out can be difficult hence a lot of the stuff there are rusty and while all were functioning, they were not in great state. Similarly the carpets look like they needed replacing a few years ago.3. Bad air circulationComing from Asia where air quality is usually sketchy, most gyms including AFs in Asia would install air purifiers either standalone ones or they'd have HEPA filters in their main air conditioning system. Either way, the gym didnt have the standalone ones so if it has the filters installed in the air conditioning system, they need replacing.I also noted that some members brought in friends when training close to midnight and these friends were clearly not AF members. It just didnt give a lot of good vibes in my opinion.

Too expensive and doesn't worth the price, is the smallest gym I've ever been to with poor cleanliness and with less services than any other anytime fitness I've been to.I realised I was transfered late and realised that the membership is £50 per month. The most expensive anytime fitness I've been to and yet smallest gym?????

Awful client service. Poor wifi and mobile network doesn't available there too. I choosed this gym to work with my trainer online. After one month of my membership problems with the internet started. Staff lyed every time that it will be fixed soon, but nothing happened.

This is the worst gym I have even trained, machines are old, broken and the facilities such as changing room absolutely disgusting so dirty.

The gym treadmills; or cardio machines per se are in bad condition. Especially the treadmills.. 3 of it its broken, while only one is barely functioning. They are also vry dirty, with sweat stains all over it. Obviously no one cleans the machine..and by no one i meant cleaners. The free weights area is cramp with PTs training their clients and prioriting them then to us members. They will do circuits with their clients and will hog by using several machines at one go. As this place is underground, Its gloomy.

Made an enquiry and joined up for the 3 month £50 pcm option. (Wasn't at all made aware that I could have a free trial). The cycling machine backrest wobbles when you try move at speed. Washrooms that are dirty, Shower plug holes that are overflowing with hair and dirt. 1 has no shower curtain, the other has no seating bench. Toilets are filthy. Absolutely ridiculous that they charge these prices for these standards.

Under new management the gym is clearly thriving. The atmosphere is amazing with staff and members working out together, helping each other and building together. Staff know all members by name and make the entire place feel like a place you want to go to rather than somewhere you have to go to.

I'm in Kensington on business and a member at another anytime fitness gym, this was the first time I'd used my key fob at a different gym and was a little nervous to be honest. Not anymore the team knew the names of the staff at my current gym and made me feel really at home and comfortable. They asked what I preferred to work on and showed me all the areas in the gym. When I went for another visit they even remembered my name. You can't beat the personal touch .. Thanks again Team Kensington !

This gym is now under new management so shaking off previous reviews. New management are putting in the effort which was missing before.New staff are really friendly and will always say hello when in the gym and happy to chat workouts with members.Equipment is slowly being improved but there is enough for a decent workout despite the small size of the gym. This is based in a hotel so smaller than other Anytime gyms.Look forward to the continued improvements

Really messy, sticky handles on multiple machines. toilets look like they haven?t been cleaned in weeks. Equipment everywhere.*edit* after reading further reviews it would seem the cleanliness and hygiene at this gym has been an ongoing problem.I?ve been a member with anytime for a while now and this is by far the worst I?ve visited. In response to the reply from the manager, my bag was tucked away against the wall in the corner of the gym where I was keeping myself to myself, it was in absolutely nobody?s way. You decided to navigate yourself around the absolute bombsite that is your workplace to tell me I was breaking the rules.Next time, tidy up, put your weights away, clean the toilets. Your membership base would be a lot happier if you focussed on the important things rather than my bag being under my bench whilst I?m training.
