I wanted a ps5 controller and this was the only place open on Sunday at 10:30am. I asked the staff for one of them and she grabbed it. I asked her if it came with a box or with a wire and she spoke in a very patronising tone, explaining CEX sell second hand goods. I asked if she had a bag and she replied very rudely "well, do you want a bag?". I didn't say anything because I was in a rush and she seemed like she wanted to have an argument.On top of that, the controller's joystick is very worn and difficult to play with. I'm keeping it mainly because I don't want to go back to the shop and deal with the rude staff.I'm not sure if all customers are treated this way but looking at the reviews, it seems common place. Why can't your staff just be polite?

PS4 controller went rogue, but fault was recognised straight away and unit was replaced without a quibble. Impressive service.

Buys and sells games. Varied selection but selling is a bit of a scam. Be sure to only sell useless items you have no use for.

Horrible experience.Let me start off first by stating the one positive about my experience. A nice young bloke with curly black hair who first took my phone in and told me to come back in an hour and a half to let it get checked and then warned me they might not have the cash today for me to go home with. He was very very helpful and quite funny. He told me my phone was in good condition but it would have to be graded as B due to one visible scratch (2cm) on the top of the screen when the phone is off.I came back a little later and they then told me that they didn't have the £330 in the till but they would tomorrow. So I went back the next day.After waiting in a queue for twenty minutes watching 2 staff serving and 2 other staff counting dvds from a customer behind the till I was finally served by a young blonde lady. Who had little to no Customer service skills (exactly like the other blonde lady who works there). She proceeded to get my phone back and said quite bluntly that it will be graded as a C now due to the hairline scratch on the front, which is ridiculous. I was already told the grade and that the condition was definitely B. I did not have time to fight my case and just accepted the £100 profit they made off me, so walked away with £250 and an overall very bad experience from the place.I would also like to point out that this waS not an isolated experience. As previously I was served by the other blonde female who works there, and from the start I got terrible vibes from her. Although I literally saw a gentleman sell an unsleeved switch game yesterday (still boxed) I didn't know it was possible. (So this transaction with her was before I saw someone do it.) I politely asked her if she would accept one of the switch games which was boxed but did not have the game sleeve. She just bluntly said no, without giving an explanation, so I looked at her expecting more of a reply, but she just kept staring at the computer. I then proceeded to hand her the other games, which she looked through and checked, I then said I didn't have ID but would a photo proof do, I come in here a lot, she does not respond to me and then checks the last game, closes it and hands it back and says no again in the grumpy monotone which I had with the first 'no'. I waited again for a reply but she just looks at her computer and and decides it's appropriate to literally turn her back on me and walk off, the two blonde women there seriously have an attitude problem. It's honestly offensive. I'm not going back to the shop again, surely there has to be some sort of minimal standard you look for in your shop staff when hiring?

This shop is amazing, the games are priced perfectly, there are loads of games to choose from among many different consoles. Customer service is great, just an amazing shop overall would recommend!

Staff there was very friendly, bought a RTX 3080 for collection and they were quick to grab it, also sold my old GTX 960 and there were no problems at all, I bought COD warzone for the series X and is in perfect condition. Love CeX, has to be one of the best computerized stores out there. Very pleased

Cex Store is a great place for fans of electronic games because it has a huge amount of video discs and video games as well as it buys what you have or exchanges things. The place is clean, the service is good, and the prices are also good.

Friendly and helpful staff. I came in to sell my item here after a poor experience at a different Cex store - the service here was great! It didn?t take long to get my item checked over, which was also a plus. Thank you :)

Went to sell some headphones, near enough brand new as they were only used twice! Told me to come back in 30 mins; went back and was told the band of the headphones had scratches on it and offered me peanuts! And on top of that THEY DIDNT EVEN PACK THE HEADPHONES IN THE SAME CONDITION THAT I PROVIDED THEM IN!!! I wouldn?t be surprised if the ?scratches? came from them as they poorly managed my product. Very very disappointing as this was my first time selling something in person. Never again.

It?s an okay store, good variety of stuff but the service could be faster and there?s an odd smell in the store, maybe it?s all the second hand stuff? But plug in a couple of those electric air freshener things at least
