Tahir and Ollie were really helpful sorting out my bike over and giving good advice. It was good to see the wide range of bikes and services on offer in this local branch of Evans and knowing that if they don't have something they can contact other branches for you.

Visited the store on Sunday to return an item. Apparently, the regular staff is not allowed/don't know how to do returns. Been told to wait 10 minutes for a manager (Tahir), to get back from his lunch break. The level of distrust and customer service is appalling.And then, he gives you a refund voucher, printed on that thin thermal paper. Knowing it doesn't last for long, he even suggested himself to take a photo of it, because. otherwise "there is no way to trace it back". Evans Cycles. 2024.

Sent me the wrong bike. When I complained that same day they said they didn't have the M in stock. So obviously thought they could just send me a bigger bike and I wouldn't notice. I was told I could bring it back to store (at my own time and expense) but that it would need to be thoroughly checked over for any wear and tear. I'd only had it an hour! What a cheek. They'd already charged me £20 for delivery, which they reluctantly refunded after I requested it.

I went in during a ride to have a puncture fixed, I would normally do this myself but I was a little under prepared and had numb hands from the cold. For a 5 minute job, I thought the £10 labour charge was quite steep and the guy actually put my tyre back on backwards. It doesn't really matter as they are virtually slick road tyres, but they are directional so it would have been nice if he put them on correctly. However, it was a fairly swift turnaround and I was back out within 10-15 minutes.

Had to fix my gears there. The technician Will had some problems with my bike due to the strange mechanics. But he stilled fixed it very quick, was kind to let me know when it was fixed and demanded still the same even after he had to do more work as he originally thought. Would definitely go there again if I needed something.

We walked in on a busy Sunday lunchtime because my 11 year old's front brakes had broken on our outing. The mechanic, Will, was brilliant. I could see he was busy, but he made time to do a quick fix. He gave honest advice about what to do next, which we appreciated. I got the impression that he'll be working hard to set right what had been left by the previous person. He's got the right attitude and approach, and I wish him all the best ?

The guys (Tahir and Oli) went above and beyond to get the bike ready for my daughter before the weekend. I have to mention Emily from HQ who swiftly resolved minor glitch in the IT system. Stars ? ? ? ?? ? Thank you. I had Evans in Kingston recommended by my friend and it was excellent choice.

Took my bike in for an annual service at Evans in Kingston last month. Was told that they didn?t have the tools to adjust the hybrid disc brakes. The front brake had been dismantled but they weren?t able to reconnect them. I handed them a fully functioning bike and was given one back that I could not safely ride. No apology from the workshop and a ?not our problem? attitude.Made a formal complaint with no joy. Have been a very good customer of Evans over the years but will never shop there again.

I came in to get information about the RideToWork scheme my employer is a part of and wanted to get clarification on how it works and to pick out a bike.Despite the store being empty, no sales staff came over as I was looking at checking out the bikes. I approached the counter,asked about the scheme and the guy just appeared as if I was bothering him and he didn't really want to engage in conversation.I work in sales myself and was very surprised that the guy behind the counter ended the conversation with no follow up questions on what bike I was after , my budget , brand preference etc. He just finished the convo and walked away letting me leave the shop without even attempting a sale.I'll 100 percent be using the RideToWork scheme and looking to spend around £2500 on my new set up but Evans Cycles won't be seeing a penny of it.

I came to the shop to pick up my order. I am the only one at the till. Then Tahir came to the till and assisted paying customers first ahead of me. Then it was my turn. I told him that I am just getting my online order. He just ignored me and assisted other customers first. It is just a simple thing to do to hand my order which I already paid.

If you want to buy a bike quickly, definitely this isn?t your place.I called on Saturday to check if they have a bike I saw online, they said yes and that the bike would be ready to pick up. I made all my way there and when I spoke with the same guy who before I talked by phone he said even if I buy the bike they are unable to give it same day as the mechanic to do the check was off. So he offered me to come Sunday 10:00.Sunday, they called me saying the mechanic had an issue and the bike would be ready till Monday 10am.Monday (today) I made my way there 1hr and a half travel and when I get there by 12:00 they said the bike wasn?t ready and as they were extremely busy they wouldn?t be able to do the check of the bike today so I should pop in tomorrow.I asked for a refund and to fill up a complaint but the mechanic just ignored me. Turns out a gentleman had the same issue and the guy who was attending other customers as soon as he get free he made the gentleman?s bike check and afterwards mine.The guys were just complaining that nobody told them that either those bikes must be ready for a certain time.Completely disappointing.

Avoid this store. I was almost put off by the other terrible reviews but thought I?d give them a chance anyway. That was a mistake. Booked my bike in for a service a few days in advance and after I made the 30 minute journey there and paid for parking I was told the mechanic wasn?t in today. I explained that I had booked it in for this date and time and after one employee couldn?t give me an explanation the other said that the mechanic was supposed to call everyone the day before to cancel but got ?overwhelmed? with all the calls and must have missed me?! They offered to keep hold of my bike and do it a few days later but I needed my bike done there and then! Don?t waste your time and money with this place.

Don't fit your bike there, the worse service ever , They never answer the phone. I left my bike for repair and I was told to come back 1 week later , when I came back my bike was not ready , apparently the engineer was on holiday , then I was told to come back three days later and my bike is not ready , the engineer is back from holiday but has too many bikes to repair , I was told to come back 2 days later and my bike was not ready yet , the engineer is still too busy with the bikes . I spoke with the manager , then they fixed the bike finally and of course I paid full price £50 pounds with not discount for the inconvenience . This poor service is a joke really!
