The customer service at Kingston Branch was extremely disappointing. Despite the item showing as available on the website, it was not on the shop floor. When I asked for assistance from a cashier named Ray, a white man in his 60s with grey hair, I encountered rudeness and unhelpfulness. Ray's behaviour made me feel offended and discriminated against, as he suddenly acted as if I was not speaking English properly, despite understanding my request. While it may not have been his duty to locate the item, a simple effort to assist or direct me to a colleague would have been appreciated. I am deeply disappointed that John Lewis employs individuals who exhibit such behaviour as racism. I will not be returning.

2nd time in this Kingston store. Absolutely awful service. Bought a mans jacket and the salesman never came near to help once. What was the point of him.Having spent £150 , no decent bag or carrier to take the jacket home. Slung in a silly bag that costs 75p. No the JL it used to be.By contrast Fenwicks were outstanding in customer service and another jacket bought with a carrier given to me at no extra cost.I?m afraid JL is going down the same route as HOF, won?t be going back there in a hurry.Shameful and sad to see its demise to what it used to be.

Recently bought a sofa, the helpful young man in the furniture department helped order some new legs from the supplier as the ones on the floor model had been removed due to damage and was generally extremely helpful. I would recommend the store to anyone and will be back. A nice shop inside too although the passage which steps up to cross over the road was better when they had artist's work for sale (using as a tiny gallery).

Very helpful staff in the ladies fitting room. One lady went above & beyond helping me with choosing an outfit for my daughter'swedding. So nice to have such good service in this day and age!

I used to be an ardent John Lewis shopper. Their customer service, product knowledge and staff friendliness really set them apart...alas, it seems they no longer train or value customer service and they seemingly no longer care about their customer. Yesterday in the bedding department, I couldn't have been less important to the lady at the cash desk, or the manager of the department. As a customer, I was simply in the way! John Lewis, you really need to remember what made you better than your competition-and fast- or risk becoming a dinosaur.

I went to John Lewis to buy tights and walked past Dior. Elisa Rosa approached me and informed me that they were offering a special 15% off today. She recommended a few products to me that I liked and as well purchased. She understood how to sell without appearing forced. She was wonderful?warm, inviting, and professional. I felt safe with her and trusted her judgement about what was best for me. I'm delighted I went by and met her; I'll always go to her for Dior cosmetic merchandise.To me, customer service is essential; I want to feel welcome, not pressured, and respected. She helped me feel it all; many thanks for a wonderful shopping experience!

Buying a Watch no werbal information was given that when they adjust bracelet for me at counter watch will not be refundable!!!No werbal information!!Hour later bracelet loose and divers watch fell on floor!!! (Could loose watch if i was swimming)Watch is also speeding time!! so need to be addjusting time every few days!!!I tried return watch and only then werbal information was given and shown on paper that is not refundable when addjusting bracelet in shop!! Even if webside say i could return.Visited this shop few times!! I do not wish to come back there..Watch has been send to sevice.Watch still speeding time after thatIm frustrated and verry dissapointed!!Had my oryginal receipt taken when send it to service on the day when returned watch.. Oryginal receipt not given back by the staff!So frustrated day by day...Taking all my energy dealing with faulty watch and not competent staff!

After going to John Lewis Oxford Street and being told that the mattress I wanted to try was only available in London in the Kingston store, I came to try it today.It was only available on a display as a made up bed so I made sure it was ok - two members of staff (male) told me it was ok to try it (one being a manager), whilst on the mattress I was approached by an elderly female staff member who aggressively told me without asking any questions - I had to get off the bed, after explaining that I had been told it was ok as it was the only item of it's kind she seemed to accept this and left, then moments later another elderly female staff member came over to tell me the same thing and that you have already been told referring to the first interaction and generally treated me with disrespect after I had explained the situation. She ended up calling over the person who had told me it was ok (manager).This whole experience left me feeling quite shaken and stereotyped (being a younger person, the two woman being elderly) I was considering buying this mattress but after this experience I can confidently say I will not.

Extremely disappointing customer service! Cashier lady in bedding section was rude and unprofessional. I presented my John Lewis membership card but she didn?t ask me to scan. When I asked her, she just said? oh, too late? Sound like that is none of her business? I said? I thought you asked?? She simply replied? Nope!?.Worst shopping experience!

Horrendous car park system. Still in 1970. John Lewis itself for clothes, anything that belongs in the bin is there.

Easy and quick service. I went to return a purchase made on line, the young man Sean was very thorough and explained step by step what he was doing.I then went to look around and purchased a dress, Josh on the till, was very welcoming and chatted easily with me about my day and what I was buying. Very efficient service
