They say moving house can be stressful, but I never anticipated the nightmare Acorn would put me through. It was a shambolic and painful experience, compounded by their tactics of gaslighting me into believing their incompetence was somehow my fault.Yousef, the area manager, committed to selling my property for me. He was experienced and knew the area well. Except after I signed, the flat sale was immediately passed off to a junior member of the team without prior notice or explanation. Not a big deal to begin with. But it gets worse.The sales management process was absolutely appalling. In the months that followed, I ended up conducting some viewings entirely by myself, including the ones which eventually led to my buyer. I didn?t do so out of choice. Ultimately it was their responsibility.Being a first-time property seller, I expected some guidance and explanations about the process. Acorn provided none. Their lack of progress updates and failure to follow up or chase solicitors caused significant delays, especially when my buyer?s mortgage expired. I ended up chasing solicitors and managing agents all by myself.Their marketing strategy was inadequate as they failed to attract enough potential buyers. No fault of their own perhaps. But they did demonstrate a serious lack of professionalism and competence when we did eventually find one. Instead of proactively communicating with the buyer, I had to constantly reach out to provide her with updates and answer any technical questions on things such as floor plans, lease extensions etc. Acorn consistently failed to take the initiative. I shouldn?t have had any contact with the buyer but it was only due to their sheer incompetence that I was forced to build a relationship myself.The buyer resented Acorn because one member of staff bullied her over the phone on a mortgage matter which she wasn?t prepared to make a call on at the time. She was intimidated, made to feel small and incompetent and ultimately turned to me for support. This is no exaggeration. Her words in a formal complaint to the regional head.To add to the frustration, there was a consistently high turnover of staff. They didn?t once proactively notify me about those changes. It was always to my surprise I would call in and find out someone new is managing my flat sale. The four different agents who juggled my flat sale were - Yousef, Redd, Luke, and Nellie - adding serious confusion and inefficiency.On the day of the exchange, Acorn neglected to inform me that the keys weren't ready, so when I came into the office they wasted time and caused unnecessary inconvenience. After going home, I was hounded to come back in because it was ?now ready?, even threatening to inform my solicitors, despite it being their fault.Overall, my experience with Acorn was nothing short of a disaster. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look for a different estate agent. They really slowed me down and, ultimately, I ended up putting more effort in working with them than if I tried to sell it myself using Purple Bricks. I can?t understand how they?ve earned their fee.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this property agency in Croydon. I expressed my interest in a property and was promptly called by one of their agents to schedule a viewing. I agreed to the viewing time and was assured that everything was set.I made sure to be punctual and arrived at the property at the designated time, only to find that nobody from the agency showed up. I was left standing there, wasting my time and feeling completely ignored.Frustrated and annoyed, I called the agency to inquire about the situation. The person on the other end of the line promised to contact the agent to check what went wrong.I was hoping that the situation would be resolved and I waited for a callback or some sort of update. However, no one bothered to get back to me. I made another attempt to contact the agency, but this time, the office was closed, leaving me with no option but to leave.The complete lack of professionalism and basic courtesy from this property agency is astounding. I cannot believe they would waste my time like this, showing a complete disregard for their clients. Not only did they fail to show up for the scheduled viewing, but their subsequent lack of communication and unresponsiveness added to my frustration.If this is the kind of service they offer to potential customers, I shudder to think about how they would handle matters once a lease is signed. Needless to say, I will be looking elsewhere for a property and would strongly advise others to steer clear of this agency. They have shown a total lack of respect for their clients' time and demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism. My experience with them has been nothing short of disappointing and infuriating.

I would highly recommend Acorn Crystal Palace, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, particularly Nellie my agent dealing with my purchase. Nellie always responded to my questions in a timely manner and in a professional way.

I would recommend anyone who is looking to sell their property to use Acorn Crystal Palace. We have had an amazing experience with them - in particular, Yousef and Nellie!When Yousef valued our property, he made us feel at ease and gave us full confidence in Acorn.Nellie Fantham was our representative and from day 1, she went above and beyond to help us sell our property! She was happy to chase solicitors on both sides as well as using her contacts to speed up processes within Bromley Council (which is like a miracle!) I have no doubt that the reason we have managed to sell our property so quickly was because of the hard work that Nellie put in so thank you!Highly recommend anyone to use Acorn and ask for Nellie!

Nellie and Yousef really delivered on the sale of our flat. Through no fault of their own, we lost our buyers due to a change in circumstances and facing breaking the chain, Nellie found replacement buyers within a week, which allowed us to continue with our purchase.They acted upon the urgency required when we needed it whilst keeping a personal touch. There?s no one else we would use in CP.

Acorn have been brilliant at renting out my property. The estate agent Blake was fantastic at organising everything for me and went above and beyond to rent out my property super fast. He was extremely professional and found an excellent tenant so I am extremely pleased with the service I received.

We cannot recommend Acorn, and in particular Red Talidi who managed our sale, more highly. When Red first came to view our property, he came more prepared than anyone else we saw and spent real time getting to know us. Our process was expertly managed, and the team went above and beyond to make sure it came off. They are professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable and efficient. Red always responded to our questions promptly and with infinite patience! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and we would definitely use them again. Red was very personable, helpful and friendly throughout- and although we were under a lot of time pressure to complete the sale- he guided us through it all calmly and clearly.
