Bought an insurance cover with my pair of glasses, had an incident where my frame was damaged, went to the store within 30 mins I walked out with new pair, staff were amazing, as per insurance policy honest and clear as per the policy, well done David Clulow?s Wigmore street staff.

I recently had an experience with David Clulow that left me with mixed feelings. While there were positive aspects, several concerns have marred my overall satisfaction.Positives:1. Product Variety: David Clulow offers a diverse range of eyewear, including the LINDBERG frame I was interested in.Concerns:1. Communication Breakdown: Following our discussion about the LINDBERG frame, I visited the store the next day but received no follow-up communication.2. Incomplete Documentation: Despite Nikita's commitment to sending .PTN and .OMA extension files, I only received two images.3. NHS Voucher Oversight: My NHS voucher was not considered during the transaction, causing an unexpected financial impact.4. Delivery Deadline Uncertainty: Although we agreed that I would receive my glasses by December 7th, it seems this deadline may not be met.5. Prescription Delay: Despite my request, I have yet to receive my prescription, causing inconvenience.6. Refund Request: Disappointingly, when I sought a refund due to dissatisfaction and what I perceived as a lack of service, the response was rude, including false statements, and a significant charge was applied.In light of these concerns, I've opted to cancel my order and have requested a full refund. I hope this feedback prompts improvements in customer service and communication.

I visited the David Clulow Opticians today in Wigmore Street, London where I was treated with nothing but respect and professionalism throughout my visit. I left having had a complete eye test together with advice, the result of which I bought three pairs of glasses.I would recommend this particular opticians shop to anyone who wants a total first class service with a smile.Bernie Adamson

Update from below:The manager contacted me after reading my review. I went back to do another eye test and they changed my lenses to match the right prescription. I'm now happy with my glasses and the service.Big disappointment!It started well, I found a pair of glasses I liked quite easily and they had an available slot for an eye test straight away. The eye test felt rushed but maybe they're just super good at their job... Also, they only mentioned the price for the test afterwards which is not very professional (I assumed it would be free when you buy a pair of glasses as it is in other places). I paid for the glasses (the most expensive glasses I ever purchased, but I'm sure it's going to be worth it) and asked for a receipt but I was told I will get a receipt only when I collect the glasses (don't know why). I go back when the glasses are ready and ask again for the receipt. They told me that they can't give it to me but they will send it by email (what's so difficult about printing a receipt?!). I had to wait few more days to receive the email. At least I got it so I could finally send it to my health insurance. I also asked for my prescription a couple of times but I never received it. I needed it to order protection glasses for work but because they didn't send it to me and I got tired of asking, I did another eye test in a different place. 3 weeks later you would expect the same prescription but no! The woman did a thorough job as she knew I just changed my glasses but no doubt, I need an extra 0.25 on both eyes. I did think the eye test was rushed at David Clulow so in a way I'm not even surprised they got it wrong. I'm very disappointed as I assumed more expensive eye test and glasses would mean a better service but no. It's a chain and there's not much to expect from a chain.

I visited this branch yesterday, 19th July 2023, and Asal conducted my eye test and various checks. I found her to be very thorough and caring, providing some great extra eye care advice. Following the tests and checks, I was seen by Nikhita who helped select a couple of suitable pairs of glasses frames. I found her and store manager, Reg, to be very helpful and took time with selecting suitable frames. Again, very much appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

One of the only stores where service is still impeccable, everyone is friendly and helpful from the opticians to the security guards, super efficient and just an all round peasant experience!
