Anyone giving this post office less than 5 stars has never been to another post office. The staff are amazing, kind, fast. There is hardly ever a queue! There is free parking outside, lovely neighbours, and coffee next door. Take one trip to Herne Hill?s post office or frankly any other and tell me I?m not right.

Two assistants on PO counter at 17.10 this evening, Thursday, but unable to sell a postal order as ?main post office closes at 5pm?. This needs to be shown on opening hours of this business.

I went in today to get travel money. Although they'd run out, they called local post offices and suggested alternative places. Very helpful staff. I'll be back soon.

I have used this Post Office for many years and I have always received great service. The Post Office is inside the Pharmacy, it is usually quiet and the queue moves quickly. The gentleman behind the Post Office counter is really friendly and helpful! My favourite Post Office in the area to be honest :)

Bit disappointing. Went in for a certain PO service. It could be supplied.The young man at PO counter seemed like a nice fellow though. So might be worth a 2nd try.

The photographer angrily refused to take our infant grandson?s passport photo. His reason was that parents get angry with him. I don?t doubt it, when he won?t take a passport photo and told our daughter to go away. A grumpy man who should not be dealing with the public. He should not have a Post Office franchise.

Staff was nice and fast. You can send your items and buy envelopes if you need them. All you can expect from a post office, but located inside a pharmacy, which seems a bit odd to me.

I have used this post office and chemist for over five years. I have previously found the staff to be helpful and professional.Unfortunately today we had an awful experience which left us very upset.My father is terminally ill and in a wheelchair . He wanted to post a parcel so I took him to the local postoffice in Dulwich Village. It was difficult to access the shop in a wheelchair (we had to go in backwards and then tightly corner to reverse without bumping into any of the displays). I understand that many of the shops in Dulwich Village are very small so we are used to that but, whilst the shopkeepers are normally very helpful and kind , it was clear from the outset that the person (who was later identified as the shop owner but said he did not want to identify himself) was not happy. He stood behind the post office counter (which was too high for my father to reach) with his arms folded and glared at us whilst we tried to manoeuvre around the shop . As my father couldn't reach the counter I asked if the shopkeeper could advise us on what postage to use and what parcel covering to buy. He glared at me and mumbled a response. My father can't hear well and I couldn't understand what he was saying so we had to ask him, politely, to speak up so we could hear. He barked back a responses. Unfortunately the pen we had brought with us also wouldn't work on the plastic parcel covering that he had suggested we buy so we asked if we could buy or borrow a suitable pen and if he might be able to help us weigh the parcel.The shopkeeper then proceeded to shout at and berate us in the middle of the shop. We felt belittled, bullied and humiliated. My father cannot help being disabled and needing some additional supportThe other shop workers ( who had normally been so nice) pretended they couldn't hear what was going on. I asked the chemist who I have spoken to over the years and always found helpful why this was happening - he said the man was the shop owner and could do what he wanted. I was so shocked. I had assumed that this was a one off but it appears from reading other reviews on the Chemist (Rumsey Pharmacy) that this is not a one off and at least one other customer has also been shouted at.I had always thought that post office and chemist services were the heart of the community. If there are members of the community that you don't wish to serve then perhaps you another career would be more suitable. Fortunately I have found the vitamins that we normally buy here for £5 less on the internet and the post offices in East Dulwich and West Dulwich are extremely helpful so we won't be missing out!For other people who are considering using Dulwich Village Post Office or Chemist - if you are abled bodied and not in a wheel chair I am sure you will be fine but if you are there are far more helpful and less discriminatory places on Lordship Lane , Herne Hill and West Dulwich.
