Incredible food. As good as i have had in London. How the flavour from the flames enhance incredible produce is remarkable. Eksdet really needs to be more well known. We had the 9 course tasting menu. Incredible signature oyster dish, the most delicate smoked scallops, the lighter seabass, perfect wagyu steak and the remarkable mushroom souffle. Can't wait to revisit

FabulousBest taking menu we have had. Knocked Lenclume off our top spot. Matched wines were superb. Yes its expensive but so worth it.

Unique flavours and every course was very very well prepared. Atmosphere is great. There was some unnecessary confusion several times but overall the service was ok. Heads up that charging the bill to your room results in a 20% discount, which I only discovered by accident. In my case this meant I almost paid £100 more.

Lovely setup and impeccable service. Most of food was amazing (we really enjoyed every dish of the tasting menu), however we found the desserts to unbalance the tasting experience. After the pre-dessert (an amazing pine sorbet), we received a huge portion of chocolate dessert which was followed by more chocolate pralines making the end of the dinner too chocolate heavy an making us almost forget the previous experienced flavours. Having said that, we had a lovely evening and will surely return to try more from the chef 's unique cuisine.

Excellent creatively prepared and presented dishes. We went with the prix fixe dinner and got to watch the chef prepare our first course in the wood stove kitchen.

It has been a long time since I have been blown away by a meal. I loved the smokey flavours, the savoury sauces and the sweets at the end. Divine! Will definitely be coming back with friends for more.Dietary restrictions: I had one guest who was gluten free and they accommodated this perfectly. So delicious.

Great experience with an exceptional customer service, they take you to the kitchen to witness the natural creativity of food which is a unique touch. The non alcoholic cocktails are insanely delicious.

The food was absolutely exquisite, the setting was beautiful and the staff were fantastic. My only constructive feedback is that having paid £300 per head for the 6 course tasting menu, all six of us left hungry. The portions are miniscule. The starters and mains should be doubled in size.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and amazing service. Really can?t fault this restaurant and would 100% recommend and will return, so nice to have something different in a city full of restaurants which can be samey. They took all my dietary requirements very seriously and were able to adapt for me simply. Gluten free options and for sure Coelaic friendly, even had my own tiny loaf of home made bread which is always a good sign that they know what gluten free is. Really shocked that this doesn?t (yet) have a Michelin star (or two).

I use a wheelchair. There are 5 steps down from street level. Took 15 minutes to get the lift to work. The room became unbearably hot, no doubt due to the open bbq ovens and cooking. I know it?s fashionable to not have full printed menus and wine lists for tasting and pairing menus and to rely on the waiter/somellier explaining but that relies on good acoustic, low levels of background noise and accent less English. Ekstedt failed on all 3. Minor, but practical niggles. The food and wine pairings worked well. The oysters and venison were spectacular, as was the desert and petit fours. Wine wise the Pinot Noir, Riesling, Vin Santorini and Madeira were excellent. The jury is still out on pine sorbet. £780 for 3, including service. Was it worth it. On balance, yes. One final other observation. Other tables were invited to visit the kitchen. Not us. Why? If it was health & safety due to my wheels then at least my dining companions could have been asked. Fortunately the stair lift worked perfectly on the way out.

Fabulous meal at eckstedt at the yard. We had the tasting menu and each course was superb- truly different tastes and experiences. Each course was so flavoursome and the drinks menu excellent. Was taken into the kitchen for the oyster flambiddou to see where all the action took place. Will definitely go back!,
