This was my first visit to a HSBC branch in a long time. The reception staff was courteous and ushered me to take a seat. Ms. Margaret Buchanan, Universal Banker, introduced herself to assist me. I was travelling out of London in next 24 hours and had to get many things done.I have to compliment Margaret as a 5 star professional, who impressed me with her customer focus and solution oriented service. She sorted out all my queries, some of them complicated, with a calm demeanour and a reassuring sense of expertise.She accomplished a lot in a short time and definitely saved me further visits to the Branch. Outstanding! I?m sure she will go places and wish Margaret the very best for the future. HSBC is indeed lucky to have such a customer focussed professional in their ranks.

An awesome experience at HSBC Holborn!Ms Shagun is definitely an expert in the banking industry! She patiently assisted me in applying for my first bank account in the UK. I am very grateful to her! I learned that she had also taken programming and database courses in college, so we had a very interesting chat. I wish her all the best in London and her career getting better and better.

5 stars for Renny S. at HSBC Holborn. He?s an absolute star and his service was unmatched with anyone I have encountered in banking so far in the UK. As an Australian who recently moved to London I heard it can be quite a struggle to open an account anywhere but Renny guided me through the process helping me figure out which documents were required in opening a bank account so I could quickly pay an urgent deposit for a rental. From the moment I walked in, he understood my circumstances, booked an appointment for me in 2 days and helped me open a savings and travel card account too while we were there which proved super useful as I traveled to Ireland the next week. He?s as good as it gets when it comes to customer service. Thank you Renny for an amazing and easy welcome to London life!

I came to the branch earlier this morning and Arif, a universal banker, was there to assist me. I would highly recommend him to everyone for his professionalism and keenness on providing relevant information and help.He also speaks Arabic so I guess this would he of help to a lot of people.

A great experience at 31 HSBC Holborn!The initial interaction with the branch staff in regard to my account requirements was cordial and professional and after a constructive discussion I was introduced to Ms Margaret Buchanan, Universal Banker at the branch. Margaret is a AAA professional. Her communication and technical skills and knowledge of the Bank's products and services are first class. She has the style and substance of a first class Private Banker and she is a wonderful ambassador for HSBC.

Jakhir Hussain really went the extra mile to help me today.3 telephone calls to HSBC Business - they are totally useless. I've been saying it for 3 years now, but definitely need to change banks. Additional 3 phone calls to HSBC in branch with Jakhir present - they could not be less helpful if they tried. I passed their voice verification, but kept failing security checks with them telling me I was giving wrong information...I think I know my name, address and date of birth. You manage to send me statements to my address every month and I haven't changed name and/or date of birth. Turns out they had a mobile number on separate system from around 10 years ago, along with an old address. Total error on their part, with no apology. Wasted best part of 3 hours of my life! Absolute shower of shi*. Can't stand HSBC. Have filed a complaint, but no doubt this will just result in a lengthy wait, a half-hearted apology and an offensive low value credit on my account, as always!Jakhir deserves 5 starsHSBC deserve 0Appalling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An otherwise unremarkable retail banking hub, HSBC?s Holborn branch is the home of Universal Banking Angel, Ms Margaret Buchanan.We had the good fortune of having her assist us with a difficult problem with our joint account that my wife and I were facing. She not only managed to accurately diagnose the problem we were facing (worth noting that this was after another banker had tried and given up) but then proceeded to resolve what proved to be a pretty tedious issue efficiently with equal parts good humour and grace.We can?t rate her highly enough and the 5 stars here are a poor reflection of how pleased we were to deal with Margaret. I?d be happy to speak to anyone at the bank managing feedback to give a more detailed commentary on our experience.
