Thank you so much for the care you took of a very good friend of mine a few weeks ago. He was pick pocketed and left without any money, train ticket, bus pass and bank cards.Maria's market offered a seat cup of tea and compassion (he is going to be 80 years old this year)Today I returned to Maria's Market Cafe with my friend who wanted to thank them. Instantly they recognised him, offering a seat and really good service, food and above and beyond care! I cannot thank them enough

Stopped in for a quick drink and a pit stop whilst exploring Borough Market. Whilst sitting, it was lovely to discover that King Charles & Queen Camilla had previously visited that very cafe themselves! We had a coffee and a can of Lemon Fanta, both of which were lovely. It was a very sweet little cafe right in the centre of the market, and the menu had plenty of options for breakfast, lunch & dinner!

Really good food, fast, polite, clean. Enjoyed our breakfast and at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

I feel it has gone downhill. Used to get lovely tea in a mug. Was like dishwater

I had a great time in Maria's Market Cafe, in the very busy Borough Market they had a seating area.. the staff were very welcoming and friendly which made my experience with my girlfriend enjoyable. Good menu and good food. :)

Possibly the worst breakfast ever. £17 and had to ask for toast, for a cafe, that is appalling. The fried egg was hard, like a squashed hard boiled egg, look at the black pudding, a rich tea biscuit is thicker, the beans were dry and lukewarm. The sausage was barely cooked and lukewarm. An absolute shocker.

This place is not what it was?. Overcharged for my order?. Queried it and was told that was correct? she was so pushy I don?t get a chance to check?. Well that made £9.90 for 2 cuppachinos, sever refused to provide a receipt.

Good location but food not to our taste (tough steak, shell in fried egg...), same for the neighboring table (soup...). they serve you at the table but no cutlery, no napkins... it's up to you to move around. It's a shame.

We came here on a Saturday morning, was pleasantly surprised to get a table without a wait (breakfast club across the road had a 30 minute virtual queue). You order at the till, I went for a sausage and bubble roll, my wife had the bacon and bubble. The roll itself was big, soft and fresh. The bubble well seasoned and delicious. I love a Cumberland sausage and this also hit the market. The coffee though was pretty bland. The location is great for people watching and we enjoyed starting our tour of borough market here.we still spent over £20 on two sandwiches and hot drinks and for me that was still 25% to high for what it should be.

I?ve eaten breakfast here 3 times now and won?t go again. Staff are great, breakfast items are average. Breakfast bap today, bacon fat not crispy just fatty and couldn?t bite through the sausage without removing the skin off the sausages. It also includes a handful of cold grated cheese which is bizarre on an English breakfast bap.

My grandson had the Borough burger which cost £15 with chips . For this price it was not a good quality burger , looked like a standard frozen burger, which is not worth the money. Also for a cafe a 10% service charge is not good ,although they did refund it when I questioned it. I have used this place in the past and never had any issues but it seems to have changed

Old school "greasy spoon" style british cafe serving traditional cafe food. Had the full English with which was OK overall but the thinnest sliver of black pudding I've ever seen. Sausage was good. My wife had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon but the eggs were pretty overcooked. The tea was as weak as it gets, with milk already in (a pet peeve, but standard for an old school caff I suppose). Overall, I think it's overpriced for what it is and relying on where it is for tourist trade, so don't have to try too hard. Bit more effort and it could be so much better.

Used to love this place, specifically the bacon, egg and mushroom bubble in a bap for £6.50. Went today, totally different with smaller portions for way higher cost. Didn?t stay, such a disappointment.
