Store looks quite run down. Equipment needs to be updated. Used self service today, tapped my card, and the self service machine had 'Processing' screen for few minutes. Asked the store assistant for help, she was not really helpful, and just advised to use another self service machine. When I asked her if his transaction will go through, and I will be charged twice if the machine will start working again she said she doesn't know. So I stayed there and waited. Eventually, after few more minutes the machine woke up and my transaction was authorised. Guess what the store assistant did? She asked next customer to use the same faulty machine, instead just switching it off. Not good customer service from the store positioning themselves as better quality (and higher prices) then Tesco etc.

Just watched a member of staff re-arrange all the bread, pretzels and pastries by hand, without gloves. Is that standard? I was hoping my lunch pretzel wouldn't have just been handled..

Feels like a shop on its last legs. Escalators constantly broken, filthy lavatory, products weirdly disappear from week-to-week and most of the time feels like a ghost town with almost no staff anywhere. The basement food hall is decent enough, as with all M&S stores generally, but the upper floors feel abandoned. When I have interacted with staff in clothing etc they seem totally exhausted/defeated and I can't really blame them

I bought some Underpants (boxers to be precise) and although the staff were nice enough, they wouldn't let me try them on first before I bought them, despite me explaining that I'd had a shower only 24 hours ago.

Tiny cafe, lucky to get a seat. Cardboard drinks cartons. One, that's one toilet for men woman disabled etc.

My issue is with the bureau de change. I went to get pocket cash for my travels few times this summer and I absolutely every single time I?m always literally appalled by the service provided. They are as unhelpful as they possibly be. I ask for a certain currency they try to sell me usd? I asked can you repeat cause I don?t hear very well sometimes and she?s like do you speak English?!?!?! Where are you from, why do you talk like that (I have French accent). That?s every time! I feel very discriminated and disrespected. They didn?t explain there?s an online service and I could have saved lots of headaches just by using it and coming to collect in store? do you even train your staff????
