Team is better than other Metro Banks...but is unfortunately let down by lack of staff capable of opening accounts and a system which takes over an hour to open an account?So after three attempts I've given up and gone with an alternative instead (which took minutes to set up!)How does a bank survive if they can't even open accounts?

Well staffed but not well run & some staff don't seem to know what they're doing. Had to return few weeks after opening an account to fix an issue; made to wait endlessly for the one manager who was apparently able to do simple task most other banks allow you to do online yourself

I had the most wonderful help from Nirvana when I visited the branch in Cheapside today and yesterday. She really went the extra mile in assisting me. Shazna, assistant manager of the branch was also very supportive finding the right solution for me.

I was attracted to joining Metro Bank almost 9 years ago. This was because of their banking hours and the fact that you could deal with a "human" easily.Sadly post covid if you need to go into the bank there is a lack of tellers available at peak times and when you complain sadly they are not interested that you may have waited excessive amounts of time.Most of my banking is done using the mobile app which is fantastic so there is no need for a human. However today I need to find out a simple question about mobile banking as information on line is not consistent with what happens.I was directed to Ayda the virtual assistant who was useless - Metro bank I am now trying to contact a branch and still waiting in excess of 10 mins to speak to someone.It seems you have joined the big 4 with customer service how sad this makes me feel. You clearly need more staff investment.

I was a bit nervous about going to this metro bank as people were saying the staff were not great HOWEVER I had an AMAZING experience.The man I spoke to was really kind and got me what I needed within literally less than 5 minutes. And even went the extra mile and got me an envelope.I don?t understand the negative feedback in the reviews, the place was clean, service fast and efficient and as far as I?m concerned it was an amazing experience.I went during the busiest time in the day as well, not a long que. Multiple people helping as well.Definitely my new favourite location!!!!

Staff need extra training as they don?t know how to do lots of actions. 3 people per n the desk but only 1 person able to help all 3 customers. I asked the staff member to check with the manager when they would be free to help. I could hear the manager say I don't know when I'll be free, I can only see one customer at a time. I was then advised to ask the manager directly if I had anymore queries. As the manger knew I had hear her comment I declined as she was so abrupt.

Why does everything take for ever in this branch?? Waiting 20 mins in the queue and then another 25mins for someone to sign me in for my safe deposit box. I can blatantly see 2 or 3 staff members just looking blankly into their screens, what happen to customers come first? It just makes sense to drop everything to deal with the customer queue and then come back to your paperwork surly.

Very pleased with all the assistance provided by Chris - the branch manager - and his team to help us transfer our charity's account over from HSBC. So nice to have some personal interaction for a change and people who genuinely want to help instead of on-line messages which go nowhere and automated counters at HSBC. Also a branch which has a pleasant environment and plenty of room inside.
