Cannot recommend it enough and cannot wait to be back. Incredible homey food and a really good selection of local options. The roti was out of this world, just melting in our mouths. The sea bass was super delicious and the lemon mint was a good cooler on the side. The stir fried rice was also really good. The prices were very reasonable and the service was more than friendly! We booked same day in advance. Highly recommended!

It?s so delicious! Highly recommend the beef rendang, the most delicious beef stew I have ever eaten, the beef is soft, sweet and spicy. It's really delicious with the roti, but the roti is too oily for me. The fish I take away is also delicious, it tastes like home cooking.

Some of the best Malaysian food in London at great value! Extremely authentic family run restaurant.I've been on 2 occasions and the food was incredible on both! On both occasions we ordered the beef Rendang with roti and prawn Laksa. The Beef rendang is a Malaysian staple and they've do it justice. It's braised beef that is spicy and coconuty that is one of my favourite dishes amongst any cuisine. They serve it with a roti which is in this case a very crispy bread. The prawn Laksa was also great! It's a soupy noodle dish with prawns and tofu and Normah's version is well balanced with flavours and textures.I also love the teh tarik which is a sweet and milky Malaysian tea and would recommend if you like sweet teas. It's a small restaurant so I'd recommend getting a booking if you are planning on visiting. The location is in the back left side of the market which can also be tricky to find but there are signs in the marketDietary restrictions: All halal and vegan options available

Family run, small, cosy cafe in Queensway Market. Amazing authentic Malaysian food. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. We had aubergine asam pedas, roti with dhal and mee goreng vegetables. Will definitely come back to try other dishes for sure!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options

Absolutely amazing, authentic Malaysian food (verified by a friend who is Malay!) The roti was the best I have had before, so fluffy and crispy, almost like the experience of having a croissant with how it crumbles. Casual environment, it is at a back of a shopping mall type space off Queensway. They can get very busy so take time to have a leisurely meal and book in advance!

I ordered takeaway. I was not given what I ordered and only realised when I got home that food was missing. Its a very small place, but seems understaffed. Roti was swimming in oil. I wasn't very happy with the experience. Nice pleasant people, but I think there's room for improvement

Would give a moderate rating to this place. Lack of adequate staff over the weekend when it gets busy. Although the staff member that served was doing his best. So service was par below than i expected but not poor. Loved the food options and choices but they were quite pricey against the quantity of food served. Also the place felt quite hot and there was just one cooler at the corner which wasnt enough imo. Wouldnt go another time unless i want really wana go for Authentic Malaysian.

Fantastic food tucked away in a corner of a market. Service was outstanding, and the food was all delicious (and can be made vegan). Make a reservation if you want to dine in, or be prepared to need to takeaway - it?s popular!

It was a cold and dark afternoon when I came out of Queensway Station. The bright lights of supermarkets and bubble tea across the road welcomed me. But I was here for something more than that.I turned and entered the beautiful maze that houses the restaurant run by Normah and her son. After half an hour of getting lost and nearly buying falafel just to keep me alive, I found it. Normah's Café. The friendly young man welcomed us at the door and sat us down quickly, the light blue decor was like an oasis in the desert. We ordered the beef rendang with extra roti, and the laksa two meals that I had never tried before. And of course Teh Tarik on the side. The aroma hit us first as it passed by our noses, then the aesthetics once placed on the table in front of us, never before had a dish surprised me so much in its appearance. Let alone two of them.Like wild animals, we dove into the meals, no regard for how we might look to other diners. Stopping our ravaging only to take a gentle sip from our Teh Tarik. The flavour was powerful in every bite, the soup of the laksa, and the texture of the roti were divine. Some say that Normah has met with The Almighty Himself and I wouldn't doubt that she picked up a few tips from him. When our plates were cleared and our belt buckles broken, we sat back in our chairs and caught our breath. Our friendly host appeared once again asking how everything was, and we could barely reply. If it weren't for us near bursting at the seams, we would've asked to see the menu once again. We paid, we stood and we barely managed to walk out. Back to the maze of small stores, and back to the real world. Soon to return to a small peace of Heaven known as Normah's.[This comment won me a free meal at Normah's haha. Incredible food, lovely service from Normah and her son, best place in London for Malaysian food and the food is just amazing either way.]

Don?t think: just order beef rendang with roti. Amazing amount of flavor in the rendang and the roti (flaky bread) falls apart in your hands, it?s so fresh with a slight sweetness to it. Perfect for dipping in the rendang. And all for under £10? Incredible. Trust me there?s no way you won?t want to finish it all. Expect to get a bit messy, but you?ll be enjoying it too much to care. The fried chicken wings were a let down after the rendang (maybe nothing compares to the rendang?) as they just didn?t have much flavor. Great crispy crunch on them though.Service can be slow (one chef, one waiter). Unfortunately very lacking in atmosphere, sorry just being honest, no windows, fluorescent overhead lighting, not great chairs. Don?t come for the vibes, come for the food. You?ll be raving about it.

Hole in the wall, family run restaurant with absolutely delicious and authentic Malaysian food (verified by our Malaysian friends :)). Everything is made to perfection and best to get there earlier to ensure you get your preferred dish. Portion size is also perfect. Can't wait to be back for another meal!

Intimate place and delicious and flavorful food. We didn?t have a reservation but we?re able to be seated immediately at dinner time on a saturday. The king prawn laksa as incredible, and beef rendang was something else!!

Delicious, hearty and flavourful Malaysian food with relaxed, friendly service. I went here with a couple of mates and between us we had the roti, sea bass, nasi lemak and laska - all of which I'd recommend.

I had a high expectation with all these positive reviews but the food was just ok (especially the beef was kind of dry, coconut rice taste plain), had tasted much better elsewhere. Service was good

Truly a 5/5 meal. You would never know it?s located where it is and it feels like a flashback to some of the spots I ate at in KL. Food was phenomenal, will definitely be going back.Make a reso if you can as it can get quite busy
