If you are a commercial BTL business do not bother. They completely waist your time and money. Never complete even the most simple deals.Also they comment saying they review everything. This is absolute rubbish. No review process, and no customer care.Avoid this bank at all costs.

Well I opened up a 2 year bond account.. you then find out you then have to apply to open a profile on their website to see your account and any money you have in it... not like every other company where you can open a profile, and then open a bond account. these do it the wrong way around. and then because you can not do it online, you have to wait for them to send you a verification code.. coming up to 2 weeks. Still not received.. sent two messages. and , no replies. Makes me wonder if this is a genuine company

I would never recommend United Trust Bank. Very bad services, high interest rate. Be careful and never trust brokers who recommend United Trust Bank.

I have opened up a ltd company account and have 14 days to send money over but I don't have my log in details. They post this out to the registered address. Do they really think their customers are stupid to send money without being able to verify the funds are going through? I have sent an email to a generic address but have not got a response to date.--------------------------------UPDATEI have received a reply, and at no stage of the signing up process was I told that they do not provide log in details for business bank customers. This is very misleading, and they have already done a credit reference search which has left a footprint. Had I know this I would not have bothered to apply. I am not happy and wish to take this further.

Opened an account recently for a fixed rate bond. The online application process was reasonably straightforward but needed to query a couple of things over the phone. The customer service advisors are totally inarticulate and brain dead which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the organisation hence the reason for deducting 2 stars.

Very unhappy with UTB and would not recommend for a Bridging Loan. We spent days collecting all the documents they required then they kept asking for more; including some of the same ones. Whenever we felt we were progressing they had another query and kept moving the goalposts. They also asked our solicitor for over 20 documents after weeks of back & forth. A loan which should have taken a few days to approve ended up taking over 3 weeks. We own our property outright but this was not enough for them and their drip-feeding of demands for endless documents. We ended up losing our dream property because of this and it was very embarrassing for us and all involved when the deal fell through.

United Trust bank are a reliable and efficient bank to invest with. I also appreciate that I can manage my account online, but, in addition, I also receive important paperwork and account details in the post - hard copy

Absolute joke of a bank. 100% incompetent and amateurish. Made my life a living hell applying for the mortgage, so much so that I wanted out before I was even in. Constantly repeating request for documents they had already received. Constant delay tactics. I couldnt back out because I had already paid money I couldn't afford to lose. It took from end of February 2022 to end of July 2022 to get my offer through and the seller nearly backed out several times due to this.Right at the final hurdle, 6 months in, they also suddenly decided I had to clear my credit card and car finance before they sent the offer. So at the last minute, I had to find an additional 2.5k otherwise I would have wasted 6 months and lost what I had already paid for their 'services'.I just called the bank today 14/03/23 and spoke to 2 different people to try and get my payment date to coincide with my pay day to make my life easier. If I had changed the date, they managed to work it out that I would have been paying twice within a week which completely defeats the object of me trying to make my life easier.Absolutely no interest in helping their paying customers what so ever.One of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and as soon as I can remortgage and get away from them the better.My advice would be to avoid at all costs.

Everything went well until my loan was paid off when a further was payment was taken on February 3rd - I accept it takes time to close these accounts but more than 3 weeks later still no refund of a payment that should not have been taken. When phoning the staff member could not grasp it was my money and seemed to be reading from a script and not really helpful.

We took out a bridging loan, and they couldn?t be more helpful. However when we wanted to pay it back they couldn?t be more useless. They were slow to respond and as we supplied the information they requested, they just asked for more. All the time they delayed the redemption they continued to add interest daily. We will never use them again. They are not to be trusted.

I found the opening of a fixed rate ISA to be straightforward, quick and efficient. Early access to an existing ISA was also quick and straightforward. I am currently very impressed with UTB.
