Didn't book, just a walk-in.My wife and I had a rare night out in London's West End and ended the evening with a meal. We chose Zizzi because we visit their Bexleyheath site often and are familiar with their menu and enjoy the food.Not on this occasion.We were seated without any issues. I had what could only be described as an isle seat as my wife was seated opposite me on the cushioned bench style seats.How often was my chair nudged or knocked as staff, no less walked past me?The first time, I was hit as one of the team walked past carrying empty bottles casually in one hand with a bar tray in the other. He did apologise. Apology accepted.There after, a steady flow of knocks and nudges continued. I even moved my coat and put it on the bench to allow for more room. It didn't make a difference.Our order was taken for drinks, no problem there and soon it arrived delivered by someone who should've used some deodorant. Shortly afterwards our food order was taken.One large calamari starter to share, (5p short of £15). One pepperoni, ham, and mushroom rustic pizza and one prawn pasta.Calamari is my favourite. Unfortunately, this portion had no flavour. It came with one small pot of tartar sauce, the same size as if it were a small portion and one piece of dried out lime wedge.Okay, I'll live with that as calamari is what I like.Pasta was nice as usual. But I needed parmigiano, so we asked for some. A waiter with his shirt hanging out, untucked, promptly came around, leaned over me, grated some cheese onto my wife's pasta, and added his shirt to my pizza!I had to hold his shirt back off my pizza as he continued to grate. He seemed to notice but didn't apologise. As we were eating, I had to double-check my pizza as I couldn't taste any pepperoni. It was there, but after one slice of pizza, I counted only 8 small slices of pepperoni, so I probably had only 10 or so bits at the most. We checked online to pay our bill and realised that they automatically add 10% service charge , and if you pay online, you can't remove it.I checked the menu and couldn't find anything that said it's even added.We promptly asked for the bill, and low and behold, the service charge was on there as an option. I asked the waitress to round up my bill without the service charge to the nearest pound. She said she had to charge what was on the bill with the service charge. I literally had to tell her that I didn't want to leave a tip!She had to fiddle about with her e-pad and give us a new total.And that was that.Anyone reading this that thinks I am stingy, they are wrong. I would happily add a service, but not once did any of the plentiful staff and management on duty do a checkback or ask at any point how our meal or visit was. Anyone in the industry will know what I'm talking about and how important it is. A cheerful last ditch thank you as we were leaving was the highlight of hospitality shown.Finally, the toilets are still a mess, as reviews suggest. No surprise there!

My daughter and I had lunch here and it was wonderful. My daughter had lasagne which she really enjoyed. I had the seabass which was absolutely delicious, I would most definitely have it again, it was one of the nicest meals I've eaten. The staff were all very polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend you visit.

Food was great and came in amazing time nearly a quarter of the time that it would normally! People are really kind but the door was open quite a lot of the time and was sending cold draughts in, overall absolutely amazing! Would come again.

Absolutely manic on a Saturday evening in December. Despite booking there was a small wait, but it was handled well by the staff. Plenty of servers who were broadly competent and friendly. Standard Zizzi chain food. Downstairs was also very crowded and a bit dingy. The toilets could do with more frequent cleaning.

That was the second time we've been here and both of our experience were very similar. It's a very busy restaurant, with a lovely bunch of staff. The food is super delicious and the service is very efficient and great! I've remembered Ibrahim and Adams from our last visit back in Eastern, in the restaurant business there's barely any people left like them who always got a big smile and happy to serve every customer who walks in to the restaurant. (Unfortunately talking from experience as I'm a restaurant manager as well in Paris) Thank you guys and keep up this fantastic work!

The food - They have a great menu, few vegan options and an allergen menu, I really liked that about the place! Their food was good to look at and good to taste, the portions of the starter could have been better, but the taste was good! So happy about that.Half-and-half pizza - it was slightly burnt, and when asked about pizza toppings were informed that chilli flakes cost extra, and they don't do Italian herbs for the pizza.Rainbow Lasagna - it looked good, tasted good.Sweet Potato Fries - good quality.The service - We booked a table in advance, and the person who took our reservation was very nice over call, however, they did not reserve a table as requested and we were given a table next to the toilets, which was quite disappointing, given that we booked in advance.The price - for the ambiance, and the taste of the food, it's a decent price to pay!?20-30pp

Well food was ok (I am a big fan of Zizzi by the way) however I am not coming back to this one as the service is not great. The waiters are in a rush. Our table was in the basement next to the door, where people keep coming to use the toilets (some of them even asked us where they are??). The toilets - disgusting, I have seen publuc toilets cleaner than that. They were just horrible. I know this is not the most important thing in a restaurant but it does ruin the experience. You should take care of the issue. The kitchen closes at 9.00 which is not very helpful either. I do not recommend.Dietary restrictions: The have gluten free options.

The so called manager was very rude. We popped by for some dinner and was told by him ?20minutes? after waiting for 40 minutes. I asked him again and he said you have to wait I can?t kick people out.After 50 minutes waiting, he came back and asked the people who came in way after us to follow him as there was seating available now. We was confused?! Not only was we there before them he had totally ignored a us. Thankfully the kind guests actually did say we were there before and it was definitely our turn. We told them thank you and to go ahead and take the seats. We left after that.I tend to give good reviews on a regular but this place not only left us standing for 50 minutes but actually confused and lost track of who came in first. The manager in the photo below with the long hair was rude. This is definitely not the standards Zizzi represents.

We were sat in the basement and it was grotty. The toilets weren?t clean and without toilet paper. Staff seemed stressed but service was ok. Pizzas were decent. I ordered a double Expresso with hot milk, it was returned as it was cold. I would not return.

Arrived and waited while 4 members of staff had a chat. Seated and orders taken. Meal arrived before drinks order of water and a Peroni 0. Food fine, plates taken no mention of dessert, which my husband always has. The manager came and removed a chair my husbands coat was on with no ?excuse me sir could I ask you to remove your coat as this chair is needed? just I need this chair and placed the coat on his lap. 20 minutes after plates removed still no one asked if we wanted a dessert!!! Toilets were a total mess?

A very busy eatery and I felt that they wanted you in eat up and go. The food was alright and the lad who served us was good but we had to wait at the entrance for ages being ignored by other staff until we were finally seated.The toilets are another problem being down really steep stairs and through another seating area. I did see a disabled toilet near the baby changing area but that toilet seemed to be being used by the staff.I would probably go back if I couldn't get into anywhere else in the area.

We didn?t booked a table and the manager giving us a table. She was very friendly and helpful. 5*The food was served on time and hot!Kids love it and we do enjoy it.Good one !!

Went here yesterday around 2pm and waited for 30mins. I know we didn?t have a reservation but they kept prioritizing people with children who just came after us (no reservations) even tho we are the first in line and there is only 2 of us. Eventually he sat out 3 groups when I think one of his coworkers saw that he just kept us waiting. Food is mediocre and hostess didn?t seem to ask us anything about food and just 2 seconds after I finished my food, someone just grabbed my plate off the table and didn?t say anything. Just horrible experience really.

It?s was busy and had atmosphere, our server was very nice and prompt. Pizzas were ok, large chips cold (and not large £4.50!) not value for money.Tesco clubcard vouchers are not redeemable at this branch, disappointed all round. ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten free option available

After waiting for 30 minutes, a gentlemen walked in and definitely was a friend of the manager. They hugged and shook hands and the manager told him to come sit down. The gentlemen looked at us with embarrassment and then proceeded to skip the queue and sit down. The way the manager greeted the customers entering was awful.He told everyone that came in ?20 mins.. 20 mins..? however that definitely was not the case. He clearly chose who he wanted and was awful at keeping track of who came when.Very unhappy with the service and the male manager with the long hair!
