I saw the optometrist at this Boots branch last week and I will not be going back. Never in my 80+ long life have I been treated with so much disrespect and impatience by anyone, let alone a customer-facing 'professional' whose everyday job involves tending to patients with various levels of visual and often (due to old age) hearing impairments. The optometrist was rolling her eyes while I was trying to answer her questions during the eye test, and rudely and abruptly interrupted me mid-sentence in order to press on with her examination. I am truly shocked that a respected company like Boots employs individuals with such poor manners and attitude. Disgraceful!

As per other reviews extremely poor eye care professionals. The only person that was super competent was the young lady responsible for contact lens fitting. The Shah lady responsible for glasses was not bothered at all in providing additional information or checking the existing prescription. Just like other NHS service providers - poor. Would not recommend anyone BUT the young lady specialist for lenses.The others were slow and unbothered with zero customer care skills. Wouldn?t trust with my eyes again at this branch.

Excellent service, i visited the store on Saturday around 6:30 and spoke to a member of staff from boots opticians, Nora, was very polite and helpful to both me and my mother. She happily explained the procedure of the appointment in Arabic.

The worst customer service ever experienced in London. I went to purchase some contact lenses and unfortunately I was not aware my prescription had expired so I needed some guidance in how to proceed. This was a unique situation where I needed some extra help as it was an emergency. The person assisting me was only able to advise of their policy/ guidelines and did not even bothered to help.

Bit confused why there are so many negative reviews; not the experience I had at all. Shenal, my opthalmologist was especially helpful.

Excellent experience. I was attended by Peter and the Dr., throughout my visits I felt like I was really looked after and that my concerns really mattered. Very good advice and outstanding service.

I was seen by an optometrist called Allan Phillips, who was very professional and helpful for an eye test and contact lens test. Obviously very experienced and knowledgeable.

Given the negative reviews I was apprehensive about using this boots opticians, but it was the only place with suitable times.Now, after my appointment, I couldn?t disagree more strongly with the negative reviews; when I arrived one of the sales assistants greeted me, even though he was busy, and made me feel welcome. My appointment was with Ms. Shah, about whom there have been a couple of negative comments, but I found her to be welcoming, professional and really quite charming. All in all an enjoyable experience!

Zero stars would be better. Staff rude and unprofessional. Walked off while supposedly helping me select new frames. A few minutes later I hear lots of laughter and chat in the back. Glad they are having a good time but paid to do a job not leave the shop floor completely unstaffed. What a poorly run practice. The other Boots opticians in central london much better avoid this one.

Horrible customer service as others have said. I had a bad experience here a year or so ago - I went to my appointment, waited and on sitting down with the optometrist, she told me that the date was too close to my last appointment so there would be no point in her doing the test (surely not great for business also?!) She was extremely confrontational and made me feel so uncomfortable. I was reminded of this after speaking with the same staff member over the phone more recently - they still had the same aggressive manner. I understand if someone is having a bad day but that is so excuse to speak to customers so rudely.

Awful. Disgraceful and shocking service. Optician; Shinal was so rude. When questioned why she was being so rude she blocked the doorway so we couldn't leave. Unprofessional and shocking. Horrified that such a huge company allows such awful staff to continue to work there. Boots, you really need to pay attention to ALL THE REVIEWS saying the same thing. Never again. STEER WELL CLEAR.

I wish there was a minus star but there isn't so have to provide 1 star.Had an awful experience recently with an optometrist called Shinal Shah. Her behaviour was shocking. Rude, aggressive, confrontational, condescending, abusive and whatever other words there are to describe such mannerisms.
