Went with my mom today to the Charlotte tilbury section we were waiting to someone be free because they were talking to someone else, but the blonde woman saw us waiting and didn?t even care to tell us if we needed something she kept talking to the other customer, we wanted to buy something and the other customer didn?t even buy nothing. I had to go selfridges which when they saw me immediately went to talk to me.

First time we made it and were very much positivly surprised. Very nice displays, friendly stuff and sesonal offerings. Prices are good. I recommend the wine bar on level 5. Chose your preferred bottle from a great variety.

Very poor service. I ordered a Christmas present for my mum on 18th December. This didn't arrive in time for Christmas and when I phoned on 27th December, John Lewis said they'd lost the item on 19th December (but hadn't contacted me). They said the item was out of stock so they would refund me. When I explained that I could purchase the item on another website but would need to pay an additional fee to get the item delivered next day so I could still gift the present whilst I was at home, they said this wasn't anything to do with them.

3 stars for the shop itself only detracted the 2 due to the personality less check out girls in clothing, might want to get a refund from charm school, other than that I love this store and 90% of the folks who work here.

Love shopping here and I always make time to have a bite to eat in their restaurant. Parking is ample behind the store. Great for shopping for men?s staple items. Best time to shop is during the half yearly sales and look out for clearance items which are heavily reduced.

I visited the luggage department served by the incredible Emily who was super slick and knowledgeable with her customer service - She was an absolute delight. And the amazing Tim from Briggs & Riley who was extremely knowledgeable and really catered to my needs and helped me choose the right luggage for me. Awesome experience from the luggage team and awesome layout too. Thank you!

Tired and run down interior needs total refurbishment to keep up with other department stores in Oxford street. Good range of products but looks like decor hasn't been updated since 1980s. Very few toilets and long queues - disappointing from a major UK chain

I bought a Pixel phone in the cyber week sale. When the box arrived it was all patched up with cello tape. Upon opening it, the phone and charger had been stolen. The Royal Mail proof of delivery image showed the boxed arrived already with the patched-up cello tape, which means the phone was stolen in transit.I reached out to John Lewis on the 18th November and I'm still yet to hear back on a resolution. They opened an investigation and are waiting to hear back from Royal Mail. Excuse me?? A replacement phone should have been shipped to me as soon as I reported the incident. It's been 15 days now. I've paid for an item which has yet to be delivered to me!Update: Received an email asking me to call them back as I missed their call. I called back and spent 20 minutes on the phone, asked to speak with a manager, I was told I couldn't because they were all busy. They tell me I'll receive further updates on the 1st of December. Why did I waste 20 minutes on the phone if you could say that over on email? Edit: It's the 1st of the December and NO UPDATE.----Hi Angela, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 "If you bought something from a business to be delivered, it?s the seller?s responsibility to make sure the item is delivered to you.If the seller used a courier, they should chase the courier to find out what?s happened to your order - it?s not your responsibility. Under the Consumer Rights Act, you can ask the seller to deliver the item again if the item wasn?t delivered."If you want to conduct an investigation that's fine by me, given I have clear photographic proof the phone was stolen in transit I shouldn't be made to wait for an item I already paid but you didn't fulfil. I want a refund or a replacement, so why am I waiting so long if those are the two options? WHEN AM I HEARING BACK?

I really like John Lewis and I'm a regular customer. The maintenance and cleaning of this specific store however can be improved. This is a picture of the baby/family area on the 4th floor on Nov 26 at 15:40 pm.While heading downstairs on the escalators I also noticed a water leak seeping through the concrete ramp that houses the escalator. Looking up you can notice a large rust coloured stain. I hope this gets addressed soon and doesn't become a safety hazard for clients.

I visited the Oxford Street shop at 8pm on the 23rd of November after what had clearly been a very busy day in the shop, looking for a specific beloved but cheap Christmas item, only to discover it had all been sold-out both in-store and online, and that the one in the shop-window was the very last one. Nonetheless a gentleman in the basement contacted the staff looking after the shop-windows, who were just about to go home, and he and the other staff specially got that very last one happily out of the shop-window for me, despite it being a low cost item.Absolutely fantastic service, they really went the extra miles, especially at going home-time after a busy day, totally bowled over by it. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Today I walked the length of Oxford Street and the best Christmas experience I had was in John Lewis. Yes it is looking a bit tired but the friendly, helpful staff, great choice of products and the wonderful display of Christmas trees and decorations made me feel very festive and I ended up doing all of my Christmas shopping there. It's still one of the best stores in London.
