The fabrics are amazing and are delivered speedily. One of the few fabric stores that aren't pretentious in London

Lovely shop and friendly staff with a great selection of products. As a customer, the one thing I'd like to see improved is the lighting in the sewing thread section in the basement. The warm yellow lights are just not bright enough for colour-matching. You often end up getting the wrong colours. The staff suggest customers to check under the skylight upstairs but it's not always sunny in London. Brighter white lights above the sewing threads would be a more appropriate and helpful. Hopefully that can be improved in the future.

What an exceptional experience!I am delighted to have chosen to shop at this particular store. The staff members are truly remarkable?professional, kind, supportive, available, attentive, and impeccably well-mannered.I have made a purchase of Alpaca Soxx and I am really satisfied about the quality-price ratio. The whole team was absolutely fantastic! They exhibited patience and dedicated ample time to assist me in selecting the items I needed. The quality of the products is amazing and there are plenty of options for everyone.I will definitely recommend this store to all my friends. And for sure I?ll be back again! Thanks again for everything!

First and foremost notice how all the one star reviews come from either Asian or Fashion students. The experience at this store was absolutely horrible as one particular staff member who was middle aged exhibited clear racist behaviour. The store provides free samples yet there are no signs of regulation of how large the sample can be, so the purpose of the sample (based on assumption) is to test the fabric. I cut out a piece that could be considered larger than their expected size of 3x3 which they reiterate in the google reviews but not in the physical store. As I was cutting the piece, I was met with this particular staff yelling at me in an extremely condescending and disrespectful tone, proceeding to scream for 10 minutes directly at me, attracting the attention of the entire store. Her tone was condescending and sarcastic, commenting throughout the 10 minutes like ?other people need the samples too? and waving my cut samples in front of me mockingly questioning whether there?s any of the fabric left. She watched me cut every piece and even gave a ?tutorial? when I was cutting a small piece. Her behaviour was patronising and it seemed as if she was enjoying making a mockery out of me in public.Throughout the ordeal she kept questioning whether I understood her despite me showing that I clearly do (and speak the language well). My suspicions of racism were confirmed when she later confronted another white customer about the same issue in a polite manner. When asked about her change in tone and why she approached my case so differently, she dismissively regarded that it was simply ?how she spoke?. She did not further address her behaviour nor the shift in how she acted towards both situations.I have never left a store so shocked and frightened of a staff member.Upon checking the google reviews of the place I noticed that a lot of bad customer experiences pertained to that singular staff as well, targeted towards East Asian individuals. It would not be a stretch to call this unprofessional behaviour racism (or at the very least rude and disruptive), despite the store?s continuous attempts of dismissing these complaints (as shown in the responses or lack thereof to these comments). Even in the comments you get a sense of racism by the responses dismissing the complaints as an error with google translate which is goes to show how shameless the staff members can be, hopefully this fully English comment would bring this issue to light. This was my first time visiting a fabric store and it was unclear what an appropriate sample size may be, but there were clearly better ways to educate me on that matter (like what she did towards the white customer). I urge the store to look into this matter (as well as the staff in question), as it is evident that issues with staff rudeness and racism runs deep with complaints spanning up to 7/8 years ago, persisting till now with no improvements or actions taken against this unacceptable workplace behaviour.

Great variety of wool and Knitting supplies on top of an extensive range of Fabric and Haberdashery offerings. Right in the centre of London, will definitely be visiting again.

This is a racist store. A black female employee in the store treated us differently. White people could get free samples, but they asked us to pay. Moreover, she seemed to have some mental issues and kept singing strange songs and making fun of us for not skipping the checkout. I really can't believe it. Why would you hire someone who is mentally ill and a racist? Isn't such a person a beast?

This is the worst storeWithin 5 minutes of paying, he realized that it was cheaper to buy 10 buttons than 7. When I asked him for a refund and said he would take 10, he refused, perhaps because he was too lazy to do so, saying he might refund it. Thanks to you today, I paid 2 pounds more for the buttons. Is this racism or something? I felt so bad. The blonde part-timer was so unfriendly. Don't work like that. Thanks to you, I lost 2 pounds more.
