This is a large, very well-maintained Miss Selfridge on the main drag of Oxford Street. The layout is good and all areas were tidy and well-stocked, even though the place was packed with shoppers after a January Sale bargain. Unfortunately, being right next door to London's flagship Topshop store makes this Miss Selfridge seem a bit plain by comparison.

I really love the designs and sizes however the quality is not as good as it used to be. The petite collection is so great! It is a shame that the staff are rude and not so helpful. Manager doesn't seem to be bothered when I brought it to his attention. I would advise you to shop online, also better discounts.

What an amazing experience! Selfridges is the benchmark by which all department store experiences need to be measured. I spent the entire day in Selfridges, spent a bomb, ate wonderful meals in two of the fantastic restaurants and I feel euphoric on reflection. I love the place.

Beautiful store, excellent customer service. The owners have kept it just as Mr Selfridge would like it.

Topshop's sequined girlier other half. I usually find that the dresses are just a little too long for me but I suppose they are good for places where you don't wanna be caught for indecent exposure. The mirrors in the changing room have that slimming effect.. so they can't be trusted. I sound really negative, don't I? Honestly I don't mean to.. cause Miss Selfridge is one of my go-to shops when it comes to getting something fancy.. although the buttons and zips sometimes don't quite last (darn I did it again).
