Great atmosphere, as a lone female diner, felt very relaxed. The service was very attentive, friendly. I was told to order a main or 3 from the 'tapas' type menue as the portions were small. I order bread and olives, and 3 from the menu as suggested. The portions were a lot larger than expected, each was delicious, so fresh, so tasty. I was sooo full, of delicious food, but I also had to make room for a dessert. Loved the experience. Loved the food and serice, will go to ROPI next time :)

Visited on Friday night. We ordered nibbles, fish, meat, veg and sides. Our fish, meat, veg and sides arrived, I looked at waiter and ask don?t the nibbles (peppers, spiced nuts and bread ) come first. She said I am sorry. I will go and get it. When the nibbles arrived the bread with olive oil. The bread was stale. Will eating main a manager disturbs our family meal by bring chairs from and another table and puts it on our table like someone his coming to join us. I guess they where in a hurry to close up. The staff was more interested in taking to each other near the steps. Did not clean table area they left someone dirty napkin. Which I put on empty table The pork belly was well done. The baked cod was not good. The Baharat-buttered new potatoes, tarragon ,spiced nuts and Aubergine, tahini yoghurt, sour cherry molasses, spiced pumpkin seeds excellent. But a waste of £230.

Excellent food and excellent service! A definite MUST! Wait staff were delightful, helpful in suggesting dishes and pairing wine. Food was fantastic and original.

We LOVE Yotem Ottolenghi?s food sensations & visiting London from Australia we were very excited to try the chef?s cooking over ours. This is our thoughts: food and flavours; OUTSTANDING!!! Value: TERRIBLE!! We expect to pay exuberant prices in a well known, high profile restaurant but £39 for 6-8 bites of lamb is way to pricey!!! Now again we were ?OK? with the ?once off? experience, lamb was incredible BUT a sour taste in our mouth when the returned NON sparkling prosecco was charged to our bill, the ?landed to our table, never asked for? dessert courtesy of our ?proclaimed anniversary? which was also charged & on top of that a 12.5% surcharge (is this even LEGAL??) Our waiter should have acknowledged our anniversary & invited us to partake in a paid for dessert! To our knowledge there was NO WHERE on the menu or restaurant notices stating a surcharge!! Sorry Yotam, I can cook your stuff at home!!! The purchase of your recipe book was WAY better value!!!! Tourists and local customers are simply being RIPPED OFF ATM!!!

We were looking forward to treating our family to a meal at NOPI followed by theatre on a visit to London. We thought we would have a pre-theatre meal enjoying the type of food that fill Otto Lenghi?s wonderful cook books. Unfortunately this was not the experience we had. While the food was good, it was by no means outstanding. Good rather than fine dining. It was also very expensive for what was being served. Even then I could have happily put this down to London pricing if the service had been better. For instance, although advertising a pre theatre menu it was not provided and we had to ask for it. We were then were clearly steered away from choosing it. The waiter apparently more concerned by the size of the tip than by our own wishes. An explanation of options available to us was poor and unhelpful. Sadly an Otto Lenghi experience we had looked forward to but were disappointed by.

Definitely a favourite. The ambience, service, food and wine are all excellent. I'd recommended sitting at the bar for your first time.

Exceptional meal and outstanding service. We visited in July and after a shaky start we were pleasantly surprised. I received a text message and phone call whilst I was in the theatre (phone was on silent) to say my booking had been cancelled as I was a no show for a 6:30 booking. I never eat that early and my table was booked for 8. When we came out of the theatre I saw the message and listened to the voice mail. We walked around to Nopi and were informed that the table booking was cancelled as we didn?t show up on time. When I showed them my 8pm booking confirmation on my iPhone the staff were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to find us a nice table. I was every relieved as we had booked the table in April and were very excited to come here. The food was outstanding and nothing disappointed us. We had marinated olives, roasted aubergine, valdeon cheesecake, char- grilled hispi cabbage, burrata, a delicious white wine. No room for pudding! The waiter who went through our wine list and menu was also exceptional and very knowledgable. So delicious, so lovely thank you for giving us a memorable evening, can?t wait to come back later this year ?

Very disappointing small portions. We were told they were tapas style sharing plates; An easy excuse for restaurants to charge non-tapas prices for not very much in a dish. Coupled with the fact ,one of our mains was pretty small too. Would not go back. Not value for money. You shouldn't be leaving a restaurant hungry when you pay a decent amount of money for a meal.

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at Nopi. The dishes were amazing, with incredible texture and flavours. The savoury cheese cake is a must have. The manager, alongside the waiting staff were super attentive. We will definitely be back.

My dining companion and I had a late dinner here on a trip to London first week in July and, while a few of the dishes were quite yummy, NOPI is going to be a NOPE next trip. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Too bad as we're big Ottolenghi fans. The main problem was the service. While not rude, it was not particularly friendly and was also extremely disorganized. My companion and I definitely felt like we were falling between the cracks. We arrived on time for our 9:15 PM reservation. Our table was not ready which was, in itself, not a big deal. We were given menus and directed over to the bar to wait, next to a little ledge where there was a tiny saucer with about 3-4 nuts sitting in it which looked to have belonged to a previous party. No one took the saucer away so we had to stare at it while we waited. A pleasant enough server asked if we wanted drinks (we didn't). We continued to wait and, not long after, another server who seemed like he might be a manager (he was wearing light blue while the other servers wore black) asked if we wanted drinks - we declined again (but were starting to feel a bit "upsold") and he told us our table would be ready soon. When we were seated - about 7 minutes later - a third (male) server escorted us to our table, carrying over that little saucer of nuts, put it on the table next to us and scurried away to fetch us water. We had to wait ANOTHER five minutes before he returned with the water and asked us for a third time if we wanted drinks. Then - and this was weird - we told him that the nuts he had put on the table weren't ours and that we didn't want those added onto our bill and also just didn't want them on our table. He seemed to not understand us, assuring us they were complimentary and for at the bar while we were waiting. We corrected him, reiterating that the nuts had not belonged to us in the first place so we did not particularly want leftover nuts belonging to a previous and unknown party sitting on our table while ate. This did raise the question though of why we had never been given our OWN nuts while we waited - or was this because we didn't order a drink? He went over the menu with us, informing us that we should order at least 4 to 6 dishes if there were two of us. He left again. We'd already decided on 5 and then were planning for a dessert. He came back, after another wait. We ordered, he went away. After another minute or so, the "manager in light blue" came up to our table to take our order (AGAIN!), recommending we order between 6-8 dishes! Felt like more upselling and also gave us the message that the staff seemed really unorganized. Why didn't he not know that the other server had already taken our order? We told him we'd already ordered and he went away. The first 3 dishes came in fairly decent time. We finished and, after a while, another (female) server, not particularly friendly and a bit impatient, asked us if we were done and whisked away the empty dishes. Then we had a wait for a while before our next two dishes (cod and potatoes) arrived. They arrived. It was plenty of food. My companion and I were stuffed from the five dishes and were really glad we had not ordered either 6 or 8 as recommended. FOOD: For our first three dishes, we we got corn fritters, char-siu cauliflower and buratta. All were very tasty, although none were revelatory - and I expect revelatory from $$$ Ottolenghi. They also might have provided a little bit of bread along with the buratta, but no - need to pay extra for that! The cod was really good and the potatoes were hot and crispy, if a bit oily and not super flavorful. We were fairly, but not ecstatically, happy with the food and agree with other reviewers that it was a bit overpriced. AMBIENCE: While we are used to loud restaurants, it was unusually loud in NOPI that evening. Seemed like there was live music playing either next door or above us.

Had a selection of vegetarian dishes to share. The cauliflower, aubergine and baked cheese were the stand-outs. A carrot dish was less successful. Pleasant ambience and service. Hope to return before too long.

Nopi is absolutely my favorite place to eat in London. I always have a good time when I come here, usually bringing a friend or some family members. The service is top class and the food rotates out rather frequently so you can always get something new. They will recommend 2 to 3 dishes per person, and I think this is fair: we got six between the two of us, and We were appropriately full by the end of the meal, without feeling stuffed. As I'm sure has been mentioned elsewhere, there are individual tables and bar, seating upstairs, with a communal table downstairs that's common at a lot of Ottolenghi's restaurants. If you only have a few days in London, I highly recommend making this one of your stops.

My family and I are huge ottolenghi fans - we love all the cook books! We were so looking forward to nopi and it exceeded expectations. We're vegetarian, and the vegetables were divine. The seasonings were delightful. And don't get me started about the key lime pudding - OH MY GOD I could eat it forever. Overall loved it here!

As a huge fan of Ottolenghi's vision, philosophy, and championing of fresh produce and vegetarian dining, I couldn't wait to visit Nopi during a recent visit to London from New Zealand - and I was not disappointed at all. Having lunch with a couple of restaurant owner friends and their teenagers from France, we were like kids in a candy shop, ordering pretty much everything off the menu, taking photos and oooohing and aaaaahing over every dish and mouthful. The aubergine, burrata, mung bean fritters and beetroot cheesecake were highlights, with the pork belly, trout and all desserts highly commended. Outstanding service, beautiful surroundings, fine dining without the pretentious factor, and worth every penny... and pound!

My daughter had reserved a table for three people for my birthday. The reservation was at 9:30 p.m. When we arrived the table was not ready. After waiting half an hour, standing, the manager led us to the basement in a very dark and noisy room with two large tables. He asked us to sit on a corner of the table, next to people we didn't know. In addition, we were right in front of the bathroom door with a constant coming and going of people coming and going. When we are going to pay 300 or 400 pounds, it is abused. We told him we didn't want to stay there. He told us the reservation was for a shared table, which my daughter didn't see. He insisted that we place our order and that if a table became free on the ground floor he would take us up, but without guarantee. He asked us to hurry because the kitchen closed at 10:30 p.m. We refused because we were convinced that once served, he would not change our table. So we left. When we got back downstairs, there were three empty tables. Since the kitchen was going to close, these were certainly not reserved for other people. We really felt like we were being tricked. It's not correct. We will not try again. Fortunately, we were able to eat at The Ivy where we were very well received.
