We visited Elys today and my 4 year old son ran away and we couldn?t find him for 10 minutes. The staff went above and beyond to help us. I was extremely shaken and crying uncontrollably and they had everyone looking. Even some amazing customers joined the search and we found him. Much to our relief he was not far but I can only thank the store for getting everyone involved and helping us during and after the search. Thank you. We love Elys and visit the store often as we live close by and this place just went up massively in our estimations.

The restaurant is ok choice/variety of food passable, BUT far to expensive, so will only go for a pot of tea

Very difficult experience! Broken and missing items and refusing to speak to me. I placed an order for 4 expensive hand made glass tumblers as Ely?s had these on offer. Approximately 5 days later I received the package. It was a box within a box but only protected by tissue paper. When I opened the glass tumblers, I saw one was smashed to pieces, however there were only 3? I assume at some point they were used for display, and it was never put back. I contacted Ely?s via email as I could not find a phone number, I attached images etc and explained the situation. I received an auto-reply which also had a phone number. This is when the ?fun? starts on the Tuesday. I called the number and selected the option for reception, the phone was answered and after speaking to an associate I was offered 4 new glasses, I stated this was not required as 2 of the 4 were fine. She then stated she could have 2 sent out today and I would be kept up to date with this via email, I agreed and was very pleased. However. I then received a reply via email saying they would send 4 new ones!? But I needed to return the smashed glass and the missing one (I have no idea how this would be done?). I replied to explain that 2 had already been sent but received no reply. Over the week no glasses have arrived, and I have attempted to call the reception over a space of 3 days at least 12 times. Each time no one answering despite it being in the middle of the day. I have replied three times to the email that I was sent, and no one has replied also. I called again today for at least the 13th time and selected the option for the ?buying? team. Someone answered! I explained this and the staff member was very apologetic. She states she is unaware why this is happening and stated she felt it was ?not good enough?. She kindly gave me the extension for the switchboard and the e-commerce team and then transferred my call to the switch board. Surprise, surprise. The switchboard rang and rang until an automated message stated they were too buys and the call was disconnected. So I called the e-commerce teams extension. It went straight to a voicemail! I called the buying team back again and the helpful staff member took all my details and then stated she would walk upstairs to the relevant team and hand them the note that she had made. She assured they would call me within the next 15 minutes. That was 27 minutes ago and no call. I called the buying team again who stated she would pass my details onto the operations manager to call me. But again, no contact still. It has now been 4 days since I received and reported the missing and damaged item and for whatever reason they refuse to contact me and refuse to send a replacement. Horrendous customer service. I have now the only option of contacting trading standards and the ombudsman as Ely?s won?t provide a replacement to the missing item or the damaged one. Disgusting customer service.

Not worth a visit.. Staff very rude? speak rudely and over priced food for what it is. lady on till very rude.

I have been coming every week for 6 weeks to Elys restaurant. I am impressed with the friendly and efficient service, the cleanliness and the food and drinks are great too. I can't understand anyone who complains, it has always been perfect for me!

Honestly I don?t know how Ely?s can have this terrible cafe trading on their premises. It?s such a lovely store but it?s a huge let down when you enter this place. Nero?s on the 3rd floor is much nicer. Sort it out please Ely?s - your customers deserve better

We did mine waiting for a burger meals as they were allegedly cooked fresh ? well I say that there where cooked fresh more then likely yesterday ! As both burgers turned up in soggy greasy buns the burgers where black and charcoaled and like chipboard!!!

Elys cafe,They make you the worst hot choclate and horrible chai latte.. only hot milk in it.... its not the first time i have complain they do nothing about it just refund the cash! Elys store your caffe is a real let down please train Your staff to make a nice simple hot drink.

Cakes good but sandwiches mediocre. Cream with scones thick but was not clotted, Good value fr money. Impossible to phone or email to make booking.

Returned here for some lunch as been before on a few occasions and found to be nice. This time though not so good as my Partner's baked potato was obviously so overdone it was burnt and some of the side salad that accompanied this was starting to turn brown at the edges. To be honest we should have returned it for another but chose not to however this does not detract from the fact that a sub standard dish was served and looked like it was reheated from the day before?s menu! I will give this cafe another try but my Partner will not be so as vowed not to come back. Disappointed.

Elys really should sort out the cafe, as it massively detracts from an otherwise pleasant shopping experience in a nice department store in Wimbledon. The staff are rude, abrupt, not customer service oriented. Wondered if I had been unlucky with a specific instance, but other reviews on here strongly corroborate.

I think they basicly don't like family guests specially children. I was eating and my kids was done and standing near me and sometimes walking around. I was just takin them near me and one of the waitress rudely told me children not aloud to walk around and they can fall on them! Ok I understand but he could tell me that with eye contact and with a little bit smile... that was really irritated and took away all my energy! I talk to manager but he even didn't say sorry! Don't go anymore...

Slow service with no apology from unhappy looking staff. Same on my previous visit. Undercooked eggs on tasteless avocado which I ended up leaving.
