The post office counter is rubbish. Went in today to put some money in, my bank card works fine and I know it. But the lady at the till keeps voiding my transaction. She voided it twice and said she couldn?t do it and that it was my bank cards fault. Strangely went to the bank (20 min walk, I didn?t have an umbrella and it was raining but I?m only down the road here so didn?t want to walk 20 min to the bank and 20 min walk back in the rain with no umbrella) the bank was ok with the transaction. I even told the bank, it was weird because when I went to the post office to put the money in, the post office kept telling me it was my cards fault and the bank even looked at my card and said my card was fine. My entire account was fine. So maybe you guys need to sort this out.EditBtw I did find out before I posted the review. So get your facts straight. I have a full video recording of the conversion with the bank. Their exact words to me was ?the post office has a 10k deposit limit BUT you haven?t exceeded that limit, you?re WELL BELOW that deposit limit (literally by a lot), the most ?cash deposit you made (whether it was with the post office or the bank) is only £100 cash. The rest of your deposit is from your work but those transactions are BACS which is different to cash deposit with the post office.Did you know this? Did you know I have a video recording of the conversation I had with the bank, 20 min after I came in today? If not, you should get your own facts straight yourself.What made it funnier was the money I tried to deposit in this branch? I deposited that in another branch post office further up the road from this branch and that post office branch allowed it and that post office had ZERO voided transaction when I was depositing that amount of money from me. It went into the bank on the first and only transaction with me. But this post office had two tries and both voided by the lady at the till but yet a different post office branch had no issue with the deposit into my account or card at all. So don?t go around telling me I should?ve gotten my facts when I did get my facts before I posted the review. I never post anything unless I checked my facts. Which I did.

Fantastic post office - always service with a smile. I walk double the distance to here rather then go to my local, as it?s just the opposite experience!

I went there just after 9.30am today to collect my grant payment. There was no one there at the post office counters but there was an asian guy at the till who also dealt with post office related queries. Forgot to take his name but he was extremely good and got through the queue very quickly. First visit here and wasn't disappointed :)

I posted a parcel at this post office on 28 March 2023, I was told by the counter staff to leave it at the side and that it would be picked up by Royal Mail. The parcel has still not been delivered, I believe its been stolen at the post office. Its not secure leaving parcels piled up at the side wall as items are then stolen. Be careful if you post parcels from this post office as their processes are not secure. Will never use this post office again.

This Place closes at 4PM and they close it 10 - 15 minutes before and don?t let you in absolutely disgraceful

Dishonest. I purchased postage on the Royal Mail website and printed a label for three Medium 2nd Class Parcels. This Post Office is supposed to accept the parcel and give me a receipt for drop off.Instead, the woman rudely insisted that I had "not paid enough money," that I had to refund the prepaid postage online, and that I had to pay her the "correct" rate there on the spot. Except, the prepaid postage was correct. Royal Mail has different rates if you print a label versus buying in-store.The weight, dimensions, and class were all correct on the prepaid postage. However, the online postage is £4.35 and the in-store postage is £5.35 (shown by the Royal Mail website). She forced me to pay the extra £1 per parcel and make my partner feel like she had done something wrong.This was not a service that requires a signature or other extras. This was plain, 2nd Class Medium Parcel.There is absolutely no excuse for this other than them trying to make more money or sheer incompetence. Either way, this is dishonest to customers.I will be sending all of the prepaid order receipts and the store receipt to Royal Mail. They can unequivocally see that I was forced to buy the in-store rate for the same weight, dimensions, and class. If this happened to more than me at this store, an investigation needs to occur.
