terrible service, always trying to force you to buy additional stuff like 'stamps can't fit on the letter'

Been going there for years. Nice family-run business. Husband, wife and daughter. Kind, delightful and humourous trio. Told the daughter the other day she's the most beautiful girl in Wapping. Mind you, she hasn't got much competition! As another poster here said, they've always got smiles on their faces, even when under pressure. Very efficient, too. A refreshing change from most of the post offices in London, where you're lucky to get a word out of them, let alone a smile. Well done Wapping Post Office. Keep up the good work.

The best post office, the staff will help you the best they can.Never had a bad time (except when the ques are long but that just shows the demand) - they work hard and long hours and still manage a smile.

Why is it randomly closed from 23rd Dec (regular working Saturday) to 2.01? And of course no info on Google maps

There was one old woman and she was super rude to me. She tried to charge me extra. Everything is extremely expensive.

Before using Wapping post office - beware they charge extortionate prices and scam people. Charging £2.50 to print/photocopy 1 page of paper when everywhere else it?s 10p per page? trading standards need to get involved. I called Royal Mail customer service to make a formal complaint today and they confirmed that the Wapping branch sell Royal Mail services (I.e. they are a separate business themselves). So it makes sense why this post office are constantly refusing free services such as, scanning pre-paid QR codes or printing labels. Any concerns need to be raised with the post office head office directly. When I explained my situation to the gentleman at Royal Mail customer service, he urged me to raise a formal complaint.*UPDATE*I went to a different post office & my item was posted as a large letter which Wapping PO refused. Clearly the people at Wapping are illiterate or just money hungry. That lady?s breath stank - I?m raising awareness so she stays at least 1m away from customers. Ps. I asked about second class postage for a small parcel (which is another service & not relating to the large letter). Learn from your mistakes instead of being in denial. They nearly always make you choose the expensive option for posting (sale tactic). Before purchasing, make sure to check the prices online and ALWAYS ask for the cheapest option (even if you don?t want to use it) to be able to gage the correct prices.I had the displeasure of visiting this post office today 7th June 2023 at 4pm. The old man with glasses seemed very fed up with his job. Why not rest at home and retire if you don?t like working or serving customers? The lady behind the counter with an American or Singapore accent literally ran outside the counter and in front of my face to butt into our conversation and repeat what the old man had already said. Her breath stank so bad - I had to keep telling her to give me space. Not sure how she thought it was okay to come this close to customers in the first place esp in this hot weather. Secondly, her attitude also matched her stinky breath, with the hand gestures and pulling faces. Very immature, unprofessional and disrespectful.I had an item to post which was under 500g (331g to be precise). If these 2 individuals knew the Royal Mail guidelines themselves then they?d have known that a large flat item under 500g that fits within the box frame is suitable to be processed as a large letter. However, these illiterate individuals decided to make it seem like I?m stupid. Firstly, the old man tried to be smart and said it won?t fit through the box frame. But when it did fit, he suggested I use cellotape to make the package smaller (not sure how that would make any sense as then the item wouldn?t fit through a letter box as it would become more bulky and would instead become a small parcel). Regardless, I accepted using the cellotape. But that?s when the greedy old man proceeds to tell me to pay £3 for the cellotape! He was only going to let me post the item if I bought cellotape! When I refused, he goes they are a business & need to make money and that he had to force my item through the box to make it fit in the first place. I beg your pardon! The item fit perfectly through the box & you was willing to process it until I refused to PURCHASE cellotape. Yes - you are a business but not at the expense of others or by trying to bend the Royal Mail rules yourself. I then asked how much second class postage for a small parcel would be & the old man said £7.45 for next day delivery. Sir I asked for second class postage not next day delivery!!!! (Notice how he very clearly tried to sell me something I did not ask for- the expensive option). Both are extremely unprofessional and obviously makes sense why they are stuck working in a post office. Looking down at people when most of us are on better paid and reputable jobs whilst they are stuck behind the counter of a dusty post office acting like they?re Directors or CEO?s of a large company. Trust me people wouldn?t come here if it wasn?t simply due to being local

I sent a package with Versace sunglasses inside. The package never made it to the address, it didn?t even leave the post office and that?s how you know the staff took the parcel and stole the sunglasses. This is so low, and I don't know how they keep operating. SHAMEFUL.

Really amazing team at this post office, if only the entire Royal Mail experience was like going to this place!

Very rude person worked as a cashier. Was making weird signs of disappointment with me when I was asking questions on how to send postage. After asking where is a tracking number, she did not even bother to reply, made disappointed look, told me it is all there and showed me that I need to step away. After not finding the number I had to wait in a queue again. And if you need to seal the box even just with a small patch they will make you buy a sealing tape. Really bad service

The lady that served me to print out my label and I asked if she can from the post office and she said £2.40 to print. This is daylight robbery. They she be looked into robbing customers. Don?t use them they will mug you off.
