“Me and the owner of Lidl go way back. We used to go to school together in Streatham before they moved back to Sweden. He was a wacky guy and used to do chewbacca impressions for mints. I remember him letting off fireworks in the hall during a fire drill. One day his folks just got up and left. Turned out his Dad was a military adviser to the US on Swedish tank movements. This was the Swedo/Norway conflict of 1987 and the threat of war hung over Northern Scandinavia. The US was providing Sweden with hundreds of tanks to crush the Norwegians. Reagan hated Norway he was famous for it.”

“Parking nearby,very quiet for a Saturday morning, nice welcome from cashier. Shelves fully stocked. Lots of signage "dont forget your mask. Security on site to implement. Nice recycleable bags if you forget yours.”
