Sainsbury's is a handily placed local supermarket that stocks pretty much everything that you might need. It's pretty popular and the rows of self-service checkouts don't help on that front. Still you can usually get in and out with what you need. Parking isn't simple because you need to find a space on the street but I generally walk there to avoid that particular hassle.

We really needed some pork tenderloins and when all hope was lost Mathew stepped in and when above and beyond searching everywhere until we finally got them. Thank you, Mathew!

A good supermarket with a wide range of quality products. Checkout staff always friendly. Sometimes shopping basket are not available on entry you have to go to checkout to get one.

What a complete and utter shambles. If I wanted to start off my day by torturing myself, I could think of other ways to do it, rather than choose Sainsbury?s of MuswellHill as a place to do my shopping. What an absolutely joyless experience shopping has become there. The staff there are all lovely but battle against the odds to direct a herd of people through the inadequate supposedly ? self ? checkouts. At peak times there is a huge queue, no manned checkouts and one member of staff having to verify the age of anyone buying alcohol ,which is usually the majority. Perhaps the pen pushers at Sainsbury?s should go back to the shop floor and man some checkouts or even re stock the shelves during the night rather than all through the day which is dangerous and obstructive .

Most items available. Self check out islands have been halved! One now has to queue.

Just went shopping today and it was ghastly what they?ve done. Got rid of 9/10 of human checkouts and replaced with self-service. It was a horrible experience. The phasing out of human contact. Made me feel like I was in a cattle market herded by some cattle prodder. It wasn?t bad enough to get rid of the deli counter. Then the cheese counter. But you went too far getting rid of my beloved chicken wing department!!!! You?ll be getting rid of customers next you Malthusians you?

Who doesn't love a local supermarket with such variety of options. Never feels over crowded. Lovely staff, friendly and positive. What else do you need?

Deceptively large store, had most of what I needed, except boxes of 10/12 eggs. However, it is known that egg stock is an issue currently. Cashiers were friendly! I went about 20 minutes to closing ti.e, and the staff putting out stock still managed to have time for my questions.

Set in the centre of Muswell Hill, this Sainsbury's complements the village atmosphere of this busy, chique shopping area. As always the quality of the fresh food is superb and the store is full of most household necessities.

Dear shop manager,Exposing unbagged bread to reduce plastic use? Please, DO bag it in PAPER BAG, as any DECENT shop, BEFORE exposing it to the customers.NO, lazily leaving some paper bag around for a DIY bagging is NOT an acceptable solution! What about that guy that had to swap a flat tyre before coming to pick up his baguette, what about that kid that picked his nose for 5 hours at school and just removed that chewing-gum under the shoe before getting bread for mum, what about that snifflling elderly citizen who keeps in hand the same wet hankie for a week, should I mention dog lovers who are convinced that any pet's gland secerns holywater? And many dive-in for the second or third row because who knows who touched the first one, or because they rightly have a preference for a more or less cooked flute. Please, DO respect the bread, by putting it in PAPER BAGS, BEFORE it is exposed to the public! And we are just out of 3 years of the the worst pandemic of the century... ????
