I am considering an investment and have asked to speak to an Adviser. The response was - we do not have any Advisers. I was also told the Wood Green branch may be offering this service but when I asked for the address or the telephone number of the sister branch - the front of house person told me they did not have them.

Absolutely shocking , poor inconsistent procedures that don?t make sense , lots of ?sorry my colleague deals with that and they aren?t here? and ?I don?t have the login to do that?. simple surname change after marriage and it?s still not sorted. Save your self the time and avoid this branch

Someone hacked into to my account about 6 years ago and stole £55,000 of my monies I'd report it to be investigated by the banking authorities FSA to launched a official complaint with numourous amounts forms filled and a official letter so I could be compensated bck but since then I've heard absolutely nothing from them.

Really poor service. Manager walked away when I asked why two staff had misinformed me on international transfers, refusing service during Tier 2 telling me to go online, and sending card/pin to rogue address'. Being asked, 'So, what is it you want me to do?' made me realise that she doesn't care if I'm in the branch or not, close the account or not, get my card or not!Credit where its due; Jarmal on Cashier has helped resolve all queries, whenever his colleagues have caused mismanaged expectations. He seems to know what he's talking about, and actually listens and agreed to call me with updates. Can't help and think, therefore, that hierarchy should get reviewed.Sad to be spoken like that after going in 4 times as I was told!

not helpful. i had to change surname on my existing account, which is joint account with my husband, and they said it can not be done.So WE will be leaving this bank, and move our money for better customer service and better bank.

Went in to try and break a £10 note. Very politely asked if I can get some change. Bearded guy behind counter asked if I banked with them and smugly replied â??noâ? without any kind of civility. Would you really want to bank with jerks like this? Or, yunno, maybe they were fresh out of both money and courtesy.
Update: 5 minutes later I walk into Barclays. They gave me the change without question and with a friendly smile.
