Visited for first time today and first impressions are 'meh', faff and stuck in the 80's. First thing you notice is how big the store is; it has two storeys. I got the impression with the layout they were trying to imitate Lidl or Aldi. But the aisles are well spaced and everything looks clean, bordering on the clinical. Provided you have a clubcard, there are some good offers to be had. But for me there are too many obstacles for an enjoyable shopping experience:FAFF1 There is no scan & shop (which is my preferred method of shopping) like Sainsbury's down the road. So queue up people.FAFF 2 Some essentials and clothing are on the upper floor. So you take the escalator and your full trolley upstairs adding time to your shopping ;that's even if you find what you're looking for.FAFF3 You have to negotiate the out-of-order car park paymentstalls and queue (again) for one that works. Then you fiddle trying to find your receipt to scan it at the machine (which sometimes doesn't work.) With Sainsbury's, you just park, no payments, get your trolley, pick up your shop & scan scanner and you pay at the appropriate machine and you're done.Tescos needs to get with the times at this store, because it seems to be stuck in the 80's.

Worst service, manager doesn't train his employees, cashiers meet friends and relatives and talk about private things while we are in line, in addition to the terrible service we are also forced to listen to gossip... The management is terrible and is never there to help !

great market! It has many products and also things for the home. There are always promotions and new products. Be careful if you need to buy household products, personal hygiene or clothes, these items are on the second floor and it closes at 10pm even though the market is open until 0am.

Manager Annan was rude and disrespectful to his staff on multiple occasions that i have been there. He likes to shout at, bully, threaten and treat his staff in a very disrespectful and inappropriate manner. He has multiple complaints against him over the years but nothing gets done about him. People like him should never be in charge of others. Imagine what he causes for his staffs mental health. Disgusting man and he should be ashamed of himself.I tried to find a place on tesco website to say this but there was no clear link to do so.

my first time using my club card, in my opinion it could have been better, got a fab price on some strawberries and there was a cool escalator thing that i thoroughly enjoyed. some people like doing other things, but for me a big tesco trip is all u need.

Was in here yesterday, most checkouts closed, those that were open all had people queuing halfway back up the aisle, the queue for self checkout was about 50 people long and there were about 25 people queuing at the cigarette kiosk. Gave up, dumped my shopping and walked out.

So over the last couple days my Tesco app has been down so I've not shopped because I wouldn't get my Club card deals. Today I thought why not snap my mum's QR just so I can get the deals and she can get the points. This is not a thing!! You need your own app and a member of staff rightly so told me I couldn't do it.She was doing her job, following guidelines but it obviously frustrated me but that's not her fault. Upon seeing my frustration cos my battery was dying and I didn't have many options. A wonderful lady who I believe is called Tina, asked me what my problem is. After listening, she knew it was something out my control and allowed me deals I was entitled to but couldn't access due to the app. Had she not stepped in I would have just left everything I wanted to purchase because I only picked up what I did as a reaction to clubcard prices. As someone who has previously worked in supermarkets, I understand there is protocol, but her excellent customer service solved my problem with efficiency and understanding, and I am very grateful. Many thanks Tina

Today's review is more about how quickly I got in and out of the shop, thanks to the Tesco app. I searched for what I wanted, found it was on offer and which aisle it was in (all in the app) and completed my shop really quickly. I was pretty impressed. I had a few niggles around checking out and leaving the store but nothing like dreadful Aldi...

I went to Tesco Streatham high road to buy baby formula tonight around 23:30. The Tesco store has top floor where shampoos, baby formula and baby nappies are.I used to buy everything from this particular store and used to come late nights before midnight.I didn?t get chance or access to buy baby formula tonight and they said upstairs is closed and you?re not allowed to get anything from there.I said my baby don?t have milk to night and I desperately need it, and they refused for me to buy milk for my baby.At least if they closed upstairs then they should?ve get items from upstairs to downstairs so that costumers can buy anything they need. Finally I spoke to one of the night managers and told that my baby need a milk to night can you please at least get one of your workers help me buy the formula from upstairs? But he replied that he can?t help me at all.

ShambolicThe epitome of everything wrong with the company - Clinical, if not a completely soulless shopping experience - my opinion of course.Convenience over anything but horrible place - just something ?off? about this one.For the self respecting - shop about, disperse that pound.4/10 - for convenience only, avoid where possible!

2 -3 week old mummified bananas at the check out? If not older! The staff was very polite though, especially the man at the entrance.

We are regular Tesco customers but this was a miserable experience. We travelled as a family of four in our car but the number of family bays was extremely limited and we had to park far from the store and walk our two year old twins through the dark and busy car park. No staff were monitoring use of family bays and we saw at least one family space being used by adults without kids. In store there is no family friendly cafe, only a dessert parlour so we could not feed the kids or get a drink despite this being an Extra store and designed for long visits and big shops. There are only three or four women's toilets in the whole store and there was a long queue to use them. They were also dirty. Worst of all 2.5 weeks after our trip we received a £70 parking fine despite staying less than 2 hours and spending several hundred pounds in the store. The ticket did not explain the reason. Despite being two adults we did not see any signs about parking although this could have been as we were watching our very young children in the walk across the busy and dark parking lot due to unavailability of family spaces. We can only assume that we complied with all rules about length of stay and minimum spend but that we missed some requirement to display a ticket or validate parking due to lack of visible signage. We have not been able to verify as the store website does not provide information and if the parking company's website does we have not been able to find it. Despite spending a very large sum and using the car park for the permitted purpose we are left with a substantial fine simply for going shopping. We have been unable to contact Tesco to voice our concerns and feel hugely let down and disregarded. We do not feel like valued customers.
