I bought couple of items few months ago and it costed me more than £150 twice on my separate visits. They charge me for delivery of items both of the time. As per website it?s free of charge if the cost of the items is more than £40.Moreover, the sofa was full of dirt although they said it?s been serviced before getting into the stores.Tables were fine and I liked the chairs.Staff attitude was friendly overall.

I bought a French dresser yesterday and was quoted 30 pounds for delivery even though it stated online when I investigated that delivery was free for items over £40 I paid £285 the manager served myself and was very rude and making her own prices. There's definitely something corrupt going on in this store ..day light robbery the manager is definitely making money adding price increase and delivery charge for her own pocketing !!!! Very unhappy going back today for a full refund!!

Good furniture at a good price, even given a discount when we bought a few things. We visited the store, picked furniture, and had it delivered at home in the same day. For a good cause too!

I had seen the posts about BHF not collecting items for no apparent reason. I foolishly decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. This was a mistake. The same happened to us. I will not be donating to BHF again. The way they treat donors with contempt is appalling. Save yourself the hassle of waiting for a collection, only for items to be rejected without a valid reason. As others have said, there are many other worthy charities out there. Maybe BHF has become so big that staff/driver training and training on how to treat donors has been lost.

Appalled by their rude unpleasant stroppy delivery Easter European collection guy. A total waste of time and energy to be politely dealing with! Second time round he refused with stroppy rude manners to take anything at all and claimed items are not up to standards when in fact they are and can be sold after donating. Appalled by these guys who are left in charge to collect for charity! They quoted a flipping £900 to collect for the tip and this is a charity! I now got it all cleared in 2 hours by a private company for £300 and that says it all

I would never donate to them again. There are more deserving and kinder charity shops. They refuse to collect the same furniture that they were only too willing to sell, on arbitrary grounds. Throughout the donation process you are treated like a nuisance at best, a fraudster or criminal at worst. Sad that a compassionate charity doesn't have compassionate people.

The best charity furniture shop I?ve been to in ages. The staff are very kind and helpful and they can set up home delivery if needed

They don?t respect their posted hours. I travelled fairly far, paid for transit, for them to be closed an hour before they stated on their website, google maps listing and own stores hours. Shameful. The types of people shopping here are vulnerable enough without wasting money and time coming to a closed store because someone wanted to go home early. And it is not for the Queen?s funeral. If it was I?d be at least 50% less angry. This is just a total lack of care or consideration for their customers.

I have visited this shop weekly for many years as there is always a new variety of bargain items to see. Lots of armchairs &settees (some real leather), beds, whiteware, TVs,lights & lots more. The mostly used items may have some dust but I have never seen any dirty items as the staff do a good cleaning job and are pleasant, helpful and arrange delivery.I have bought many large items, a Welsh dresser, piano, leather suite, Grandfather clock etc. all at bargain prices.I recommend you visit this store and snap up any bargain quickly as they soon sell. You might get a small price reduction, its worth making an offer.Happy shopping. They also have a website with an enormous selection of items.Good hunting.

It has great second hand furniture and the staff are great

I just went through to take a look. In my opinion staff should CLEAN all the furniture before putting them on the stock. And prices seems to be a bit expensive for not clean and second hand furniture.

Agree with some of the comments. A tricky shop to help really. The shop and collection is very random and choosy. I use to use the other shop on the other side of London, no problems with furniture, clothing and toys, beddings collection. This one, when booking, no problem with the description and bags of donation. Then they turned up looked through things, rejected toys, beddings etc. Only took the branded clothes! Since when only designer stuff is good enough for charities? Didn't rate them lower as the driver was actually very courteous (albeit a bit choosy) and explained a few things.
