By far the worst banking experience I have ever received (had to drive to Woolwhich as our Eltham branch is now also closed) After going around the Woolwhich branch trying to find a way to withdraw more money than what my daily limit at those big teller machines are, the lady who was meant to be behind the counter/tellers, was having her tea and my guest her daily chat with her colleague who is the one who book appointments (The let us help you t-shirt lady with the laptop). Over at the cashier counter, the cashier lady ended up blocking my account and said that she doesn't have to serve me because I was slightly frustrated about the service I have received up to that point, albeit I was very polite and professional about it all as well that I politely mentioned that I have a meeting to attend to and cannot wait 20min for a transaction which used to be normal a couple of years ago. I asked then for the lady's name as said that I want to make a complaint about what she said (I don't have to serve you) and looked for the branch manager, when another lady asked if I needed help I then explained my requirements, of which the lady and another colleague were happy to help, except they could not operate my account as the cashier lady has blocked my account. We then had to go and looked for the cashier lady who wasn't behind the cashier. When she did return, she said that she cannot help or unblock my account as I made a threat that I want to make a complaint about her. I could not take it any longer as I ran out of time, and could not wait, and had to go.As I needed the cash urgently to make a payment for some builders work, I am stuck with limited options now, and do not want to use the Woolwhich branch again, and the options are getting limited.P.s; the lady and her colleague who tried to help me afterwards was friendly and really tried to help me as they understood the situation and knew how to assist.(I have the lady's name, however I need to download the app to make a complaint, or I need to send a letter, so sharing my experience here)[3/02/2024 around 1PM]

Really bad service at this branch. The employees are very unhelpful and rude. Very badly run branch. Barclays should send the staff at this branch for a rigorous customer service classes.

Wanted to visit the branch a couple of weeks ago after a very disappointing service from the branch staff/ Mortgage Advisor early on the year when they did not get back to my friend and I fir his mortgages enquiries, even after my second chase up and the staff taking all the financial details for the porting of one residential and one Buy to let mortgage from another provider.I contacted a staff member a few weeks ago to check if the customer parking was still available as I'm disabled and a heart patient and that parking and walking from across the busy street or TESCO car park was not an option for me anymore. I was told that the customer carpark for the complex was no longer available for free!! Come on Barclays, give us disabled people an opportunity to live our daily lives to the full normal potential. Voice for your customers to the complex owners AND the council to provide parking outside...Your voice is loud.....make some sound for the needy. Does not require much road changes to adapt....please.

Negative experience with Barclays Bank's service. It appears that the staff was unable to assist you in unlocking your PIN and handled the situation poorly by blaming me for forgetting it. Additionally, when you requested help with registering your app on a new phone, they asked unnecessary questions about where you obtained the phone. Furthermore, after waiting for over an hour, they were unable to print my bank statements due to a claimed network issue. This level of service is unsatisfactory, and as a banking institution, Barclays should strive to provide better solutions to its customers.

Some staff needs a training in customer service. Rude and with attitude is not the way to go to your customers. Also, useless processes, everyday makes more sense, people going with Monzo and Revolut. I?ll be next

Awful, waiting an hour just to be able to speak to a real person and TRY (emphasis on try) to get them to help you instead of trying to wing you onto somebody else or send you to do things online. They've cut down on staff and the service is in shambles now.I miss the old Barclays bank next to Wilko. Much better

I have experienced very very bad service today in woolwich branch.My bank card stuck inside the machine. I m waiting for 30 minutes but no member of staff can't help me. I can see only one member of staff in whole bank. Other staff not helping the customer. Finally I need to leave the bank and not getting back my bank Card. It's completely not acceptable as a important financial institution. It's very important to put more staff and train them properly how to help the customer . It's very much unprofessional service experienced.Very very bad Customer service.

In bank ATM broke down and took my money (£300) and staff seemed disinterested. They promised to investigate and call me back before end of play but no call received. Have had to complain centrally to Barclays. Don?t use the machine.

June 2022This week I visited this branch to sadly inform them of another bereavement. What a difference from my previous visit. My brother and I were shown compassion and were seen quickly. The service was excellent and we would like to thank the two ladies who we dealt with. You made a hard task for us much easier to bear.Today I would like to give you 5 stars. ?????

Admittedly, we did have a rather long wait however, Never had an appointment which is fair enough my only gripe being it could do with some extra seating as you have to stand or sit on window sill ...all that being said, we was very happy with the service provided by the Barclays team who were very competent in the service they provided and very helpful
