“This is a small private hotel with 9 rooms. Very clean and homey. I liked the friendly service, food, bed and quiet of the environment. Parking is just outside. The location is perfect, could not be better. On a negative side: my room was overlooking the main entrance, I could hear everyone talking due to old windows. Also the street lights are bright and shutters do not block the light. Otherwise it was a comfortable 2-night stay. I would recommend this hotel.”

“Nice food, staff ok. Only thing, a gust of wind pushed the big menu onto my drink that I had just bought and it spilt all over. They made me buy another drink. Maybe make the menus smaller”

“Very friendly service in a really lovely setting. We had a full English breakfast, the quality of the produce was excellent and the bacon was particularly good. Dogs are allowed in the snug area and our beagle was made very welcome. Thank you!”

“Stayed for 2 nights recently, warm welcome, proper hearty food and a great range of beers and spirits. Treats for the dog. Roaring fires in a very welcoming bar, staff excellent and friendly. Pub nicely situated as a base for exploring the expansive countryside, loads of walkers and cyclists. Place just needs a lick of paint here and there but apart from that it’s a proper pub. Recommended!”

“Very quiet stay. Met with a lovely receptionist. Room/bathroom towels clean Mattress and pillows a little on the hard side but that's down to preference. At the reception there were help yourself refills tea/coffee for the room and a water dispenser which is very useful.”

“A generally well looked after place (fresh paint, new refurbishment, cleanliness was rather high...) tastefully decorated with a hint to the famous Orangery at Kew Gardens when glancing at our room wallpaper. Upon our arrival we were greeted by two helpful staff members who saw us waiting with our little one at the Hotel Reception whilst the bar was really busy. They were happy to help and I'd like to make a special mention to our lovely hostess who took care of our fully loaded pram to take it up to the top of the building where our room was.I would say that our room was reasonably quiet considering the pub underneath - very light sleepers may hear noises but I thought they were rather brief. On the "even better if" side of things, I could mention the temperature at our arrival. A note explaining the heating system would be welcome. If you are thinking about having dinner there on a weekend, I would suggest to make a booking as the place seems popular and I am under the impression that kitchen staff members are scarce (an issue across various places though!).We didn't have any meal there in the end so I would not be able to comment on the food. Nevertheless, the location of the Orange Tree Hotel made it very easy to reach another restaurant, and there were plenty of options to cater for different budgets. The Thames is very close and deserves a walk by.The place deserves a 5 star ? as the intent set there is definitely shining through.”

“We regularly stay here when visiting family. Scotch Corner is an extremely busy hub - a refuelling stop for cars and their owners. There's an M&S, a Greggs, a Costa Coffee, a KFC, and restroom facilities. The travelodge offers decent accommodation and is perfectly OK for a night or two. Basic breakfast is available at Costa or Greggs. If you arrive at the same time as a coach party, you can be queuing for a while.Additional EV charging points are being installed, which is good news for ecar drivers. We've always had good customer service at SC Travelodge and will visit again.”
