I recently had an unfortunate experience at a local shop where I went to purchase some fish. My boyfriend and I spent 15 minutes standing in front of the aquarium, contemplating our choice of fish. However, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment.As my boyfriend went to inquire about buying the fish, we were met with unexpected news from one of the shop's staff members. They explained that they were unable to sell us any fish at the moment because there were only two staff members present, which left them understaffed for such a task. To make matters worse, the way this information was conveyed to us was rather rude, adding to our frustration.What left me particularly baffled was the lack of communication regarding this issue. It struck me that the shop could have easily avoided this situation by placing a sign at the till or near the aquarium, indicating that they were unable to sell fish at that moment due to staffing constraints. Such a simple precautionary measure would have saved us both time and disappointment.This experience highlighted the importance of effective communication and good customer service. While I understand that businesses can face challenges, transparency and courteous communication can go a long way in retaining customers and leaving a positive impression.Constructive criticism can help businesses improve their operations and ensure that other customers do not have to face similar inconveniences in the future.Very very bad customer service.

Closest pet shop to me, and I shop every weekend for my pet. Very happy and impressed with the selection and variety of pet foods. They have a Vet in the store as well as Pets for sale. The staff are very friendly and helpful with every issue you might have. The place is very clean for a pet store with live animals walking in and out.

Great place every time I go there, good to see that they are restocking properly again as there were times I?d walk in and they?d have nothing on the shelves especially when it came to Cat Litre stuff! Good to see you on top of your procurement again, and that your supply chain is back to good form!

Absolutely joke of a place, the time it takes them to serve customers while they are chatting and trying to figure out how to sign up people for loyalty cards or process a 59p refund. The queue inevitable ends up half way across the shop. It?s painful. If I had anywhere else I could go nearby I would. I leave angry every time I go here and frequently come close to just abandoning my shopping in the queue and walking out.

This is a large store with many types of food, toys and accessories for pets; it smells funny in there but all the pet shops have this problem. They also have a pet grooming area at the back of the store.

Normally, I am impressed with their service. Always offering to give advice and tips whenever purchasing the fish. This time sadly, this was not the case - I was met with Paula(as written on her badge) one of the staff and I told her the fishes we wanted to purchase ( a gold fish). She was rude and abruptly refused to serve us the fish stating they cannot sell the fish as they just came in and need to rest. I quote a one fish must have at least 60L of fish tank space. Not being funny, the fish tank in the stores are smaller than my tank and they certainly have over 10 fishes - a little rich coming from them. It felt like she wanted to leave immediately. I will never go back to PetsatHome Ruislip.

My husband came in twice to buy some fish for the aquarium he came almost 35 min or 40 min before closing the staff seemed rude and told they not selling now any fishes. She didn't inform us that they do not sell any fishes after a specific time. We wasted yesterday time to come into the store again. We went to another branch of Pets at Home they also were closing soon but they were selling us some fishes and their staff were very kind and gave us lots of good information.

Not a great experience to be fair, receptionists were not bothered, overcharges on invoice and then lots added to new invoice when questioned, charged £84 hospital fees when my pup was only there for 2 hrs after having an abcess flushed but had to be knocked out.

The first thing that impressed me was the cleanliness and organization of the store. The aisles were well-maintained and stocked with a wide variety of pet supplies, toys, and accessories. It was clear that the shop took great care in ensuring the comfort and well-being of the animals they housed.

I have to give these guys 5 stars. I adopted two male rats from them this week. I fell in love with them on a spontaneous visit, for a dog tag, and after ten minutes of talking to one of the coworkers, decided I might just come back for them. I did loads of research for 2-3 days and called throughout the week to make sure the two boys Id seen we?re still there, and then returned on Wednesday to purchase everything I needed for them with the help of different coworkers who were excited for me. They continued to tell me a lot about them, especially as they had some health issues in the path but I was sure I wanted them. That same day, I came back for them and they?ve fit into their new home very well. I?m aware that purchasing rats isn?t always recommendable for pet shops but these guys were impeccably treated and well taken care of, also very used to handling with humans. Would just like to thank them for their help and how well they took care of these guys before they cane to me.
